- Handheld, four-channel digital oscillo for viewing electrical signals with multimeter mode for measuring voltage, frequency, duty cycle, and power Real-time sample rate is 1.25GS/s for 100MHz models and 2.5GS/s for 200MHz models, and record length is 10,000 points per channel for acquiring detailed waveforms Zoom function, three math functions plus FFT, and automatic and cursor measurements for analyzing waveforms 6" color LCD shows up to four readings or waveforms simultaneously Meets EN and IEC 61010-1:2001 and 61010-031:2002+A1:2008, ANSI/ISA 61010-1 (82.02.01), and CAN/CSA C22.2 61010-1-04 safety standards, and is rated CAT III installations to 1,000V and CAT IV installations to 600V.
The Fluke Meter 190 series is a handheld, four-channel
digital oscillo for viewing electrical signals with a
999-count multimeter mode for measuring AC and DC voltage to
1,000V, AC/DC voltage to 1,000V true RMS, frequency to full
bandwidth, and duty cycle from 4% to 98%. It can also measure
power for single- and three-phase systems, displaying the total
power (watts), apparent power (VA), reactive power (VAR), and the
power factor (PF) to determine how efficiently an installation
uses power. The oscillo has a real-time sample rate of
1.25GS/s for the 100MHz model and 2.5GS/s for the 200MHz model,
and a record length of 10,000 points per channel for acquiring
detailed waveforms. A zoom function magnifies waveforms up to
x100, three math functions—add, subtract, and multiply—plus FFT
(fast fourier transform), and automatic and cursor measurements
allow an in-depth analysis of waveforms. Edge, pulse width,
video, and N-cycle (burst) triggers allow isolation of specific
signals. The oscillo's advanced automatic triggering
recognizes signal patterns and automatically optimizes
triggering, timebase and amplitude settings. To aid debugging,
the pass/fail testing compares a live waveform to a reference
waveform and can be set to store either waveforms that match
(pass) or do not match (fail) the reference waveform. The
relative function allows a measurement to be set as a reference
value and displays subsequent measurements as a positive or
negative deviation from that value, and the data-hold function
freezes a reading or waveform on the display. The 100 most recent
screens are automatically stored in the unit's internal memory,
and can be accessed by the replay function. The oscillo has
a recorder that captures from 6 seconds to 48 hours of waveforms
and stores up to 30,000 data points per channel. Its trend plot
function graphs the minimum, maximum, and average readings over
time from 60 minutes at 5 seconds per division to 22 days at 30
minutes per division. Additional specifications ( https://images-na.ssl-images-.com/images/G/01/BISS/OscillosMix/FlukeMeter190series.usermanual.pdf#page=118 ) include a rise time of 3.5ns for the 100MHz models and 1.7ns
for the 200MHz models, and various triggering features. The unit
has a 126.8 x 88.4 mm (4.99 x 3.48 inches) color LCD with a
resolution of 320 x 240 pixels for viewing waveforms and
measurements, and an LED backlight for visibility in low light.
It can display up to four readings or waveforms simultaneously. A
multimeter is an electrical testing tool for measuring multiple
properties of an electrical circuit to verify proper operation or
diagnose problems.
The oscillo has a USB host port for storing data on a
2GB-maximum flash drive and a USB device port for connecting to a
compatible PC for storing and analyzing data with the included
demonstration version of FlukeView software (a full version is
included for models with kit). The software is compatible with
Microsoft Windows 2000 and beyond operating systems. The unit
operates on a rechargeable lithium ion battery pack or a 120VAC,
50/60Hz adapter/charger (both included). When operating on
battery power, it automatically shuts down after 30 minutes of
non-use to conserve battery life and has a low-battery indicator
that signals when the battery needs recharging. It meets European
Standard (EN) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)
61010-1:2001 and 61010-031:2002+A1:2008, American National
Standards Institute and International Society of Automation
(ANSI/ISA) 61010-1 (82.02.01), and CAN/CSA (Canadian Standards
Association) C22.2 61010-1-04 safety standards, and is rated for
CAT (category) III installations to 1,000V, which covers
equipment in fixed installations, such as switches in the fixed
installation and some industrial equipment that is permanently
connected to the fixed installation, and CAT IV installations to
600V, which covers equipment at the origin of the installation,
such as electricity meters and primary over-current protection
equipment. It has European Conformity (CE) marking and is Ingress
Protection certified IP51 for dust and drips. It comes with four
voltage probe sets, FlukeView software, a USB interface cable, a
rechargeable lithium ion battery pack, an AC adapter/battery
charger, and a user manual. The Fluke Meter 190 series is
available with and without the SCC290 kit. The kit includes an
activation key that unlocks the full-version of FlukeView
software for storing and analyzing data, and a hard carrying case
for storing the unit and its accessories.

Oscillos are electrical testing devices used to verify the
functionality of equipment that generates an electrical signal.
Oscillos measure the voltage of an electrical signal over
time, and display the measurement as a waveform in a visual
graph. The waveform shows the sweeps (or refresh) of voltage on a
vertical (Y) axis, and the time on a horizontal (X) axis. Details
of a waveform demonstrate the signal over time. Most
oscillos have two or four channels for inputting a signal.
Some digital oscillos offer more than four channels,
allowing channels to be dedicated to specific signals and
applications. Bandwidth is the maximum frequency of a signal that
an oscillo can capture. A constant image will display if a
signal is shown at a high frequency. Oscillos may be analog,
digital, or mixed signal. An analog oscillo directly
displays an input signal as a continuous waveform, typically in a
luminous phosphor on a cathode ray tube (CRT). A digital
oscillo converts the input signal into a digital format and
reassembles the waveform for display, typically on an LCD. A
mixed signal oscillo (MSO) displays both analog and digital
formats. Some oscillos can display more than one channel and
type of measurement simultaneously. Some oscillos can
capture waveform signals to memory, and recall them. They may
provide real-time intensity grading, and may have the ability to
adjust frequency of display. Oscillos can be powered with
batteries or electricity, or may have a built-in generator. They
are commonly used for testing, measuring, and inspecting in
science, engineering, telecommunications, automotive, and
electronics applications.
