You will need to be prepared for the strong fumes that will last at least 24-48 hours. Wear a good mask with glasses and windows open. Your best using a gloss/varnish roller with a brush. Remember to mix correct amounts of hardener with the varnish this is important.The overall finish is satisfactory with some more shinier spots some places. Only reason i used the two part varnish is for durability and me having a pet. The last time i used the 2 part varnish was like 15 years ago and still going strong.

Need to be done a thin layer and wait 12 hours, than repeat and you’ll not be disappointed!

Used the varnish throughout the ground floor on boards over 150 years old. It was easy to apply and the instructions were fine. But the fumes are highly pungent - everyone had headaches including the neighbours. I'm not sure how toxic it could be to vulnerable people. A fabulous finish which I'm sure will be very long lasting. Quick tip - if you've previously used a water based product you will need to sand extra diligently as they won't mix!
