Don't Take Chances.
There are a number of PCP air filters of dubious quality on the market. Don't be a user of one of those units. This is a bad place to economize. The actual name of this filter is the Xin Yong Shi, New Warrior Dry Air System. The construction inspires confidence. The tube has a thickness of 8 Millimeters. That is one third of an inch thickness. Some filters have a wall thickness of as little as 2 mm. The workmanship is first rate. Its large capacity does a good job of removing moisture. I am confident in the safety of this filter. This is a quality product that deserve your attention.

high pressure compressed air inline fliter
I like this compressed air inline filter for drying compressed air when refilling my scba air tanks. I connect this between the high pressure outlet on my air compressor and the tank valve between my scba tank. I use 2 of these together one after another. This kit has 1 thick wall high pressure rated aluminimum tube with threaded caps on both ends. completely anodized orange inside and outside end caps as well. the end cap thread length is around 30mm long to handle 4500 psi safely. there's 1 high pressure microbore hose 18 inches long with a 1/8 bspp female quick disconnect and a 1/8 male quick disconnect already attached into the end cap. there's also 2 additional end cap O rings and 2 more for the female quick disconnect.use the 2 plastic delrin washers included in the end caps before connecting any fitting or hose otherwise you get air leaks and don't over tighten. I do use a wrench to apply a bit of torque and I stop once i feel a bit of resistance. the filter tube comes prefilled with a cotton filter sort of like a cigarette butt material only bigger and longer and there's 1 replacement included. I cut 2 short pieces about 1 inch off the entire length use a wooden dowel to push 1 down into the filter tube with the end cap on tight then fill the tube with mSORB type 13X molecular sieve beads. I fill it up to about 3/4 inch below the lowest end cap thread starts then I put the other piece of cotton filter on top and tighten the other end cap. the end cap can be hand tightened until you feel lots of resistance this puts enough pressure on the O rings to make an air tight seal.I like to use molecular sieves beads rather than just the entire cotton filter alone as this should be able to absorb more moisture/water vapor and physical air contaminants from the compressed air. if your compressor has a pressure relief valve open it for half a second every 10 minutes to purge any moisture. I can also absorb the crankcase oil mixing in with the compressed air from cylinder compression blowby. I get some oil and water build up at the beginning of my first inline filter 1st piece of cotton and the first 1/3 of the sieves change color slightly. it darkens and the color indication goes from blue to light pink. everything else in the filter tubes after that is bone dry clean and free of any odors. I check it after after every air tank recharge session about 1 hour of use.I have tried breathing this compressed air from my tanks and I don't smell any oil or odors but I wouldn't suggest it for breathing air. I use this kit to recharge my scba tanks and use it to refill my pre charged pneumatic air guns. and it works great. I haven't hay my air checked or tested for quality by a certified lab to see if it is at least grade D quality but if I do I will mention it here.

Built like a tank
Very well built, this is the older version without the plastic sleeve so to remove filters or replace the silica drying beads is kind of a pain cuz you gotta get a long stick to poke it out. But it holds so much filter media you could go for months without changing it. Exactly because it's so large keep in mind your pump will spend extra time first pressuring the filter first, because starting to pressurize the air tank haha.

Decent product for the money but beware
Works pretty well over all. Definitely better than nothing. Did have a problem with the drying material becoming lodged against one end of the tube the first time I aired up to 3000 psi. This made the line impossible to bleed and caused an extremely dangerous situation. Fortunately I had a spare valve to bleed off the pressure on the tank I was filling to separated The tank from the air line.
