Needs more insight into characters emotions
Let's be honest, these books aren't fantastic, but we'll keep reading them anyway. I would recommend all three to anybody who loves The Tribe and is capable of putting his inner critic on the shelf. I like that the author brings in old characters. The main issue with these books is that they feel like almost nothing happens until the last chapters where everything happens quickly and kind of gets glossed over. All of the books would do better to have more description of the characters thoughts, feelings, and motives. It would also be nice to have more power dynamics like in the show, but what's done is done. And having the characters make tough decisions is always great for drama, but watch out for deus ex machina.

Keeps getting better!
This book was certainly better than its predecessor, "A New World," as it was rife with misspellings and grammatical errors. I felt "A New Dawn" was also superior in regards to its story, while the first did well highlighting the hardships the Mallrats faced once they left on the fishing trawler at the end of series 5, this one furthered the story and did well capturing the characters, the drama, and brought back more familiar elements of the "Tribe-verse".I'd hoped that the character we were reintroduced to in the prologue would have made further appearances throughout the book, and if anything, it's only one of my two complaints. (The second being, now we have to wait until the next book.)Overall, I felt AJ Penn did a fantastic job bringing our favorite characters alive once more.Just a suggestion: if this were ever turned into an audio book, perhaps they could get the actors back to voice their characters? :D I'd totally buy it!

Bringing in More TV Show Characters
While the fanfiction quality problems still appear in this follow up to "The Tribe: A New World" if you liked that book, this one will not disappoint. It continues the story threads and reintroduces Bray, one of the original characters of the New Zealand science fiction soap opera. However, the opening chapter is weird because it introduces another character that we think is going to play a big role but never returns to her. In the end we are left wondering if the author planned a third book given the loose plot threads.

Great book!!
After finishing all five seasons of The Tribe tv shows, I had to order the book to see what happened.....it continues on, right where the tv shows left off. I was happy it did.Great book for teens. I'm an old grandma and I enjoyed it!

Even better than "A New World"
I really loved this book. It's even better than the first one because the author managed to "make up" for some things that the few people who criticized "A new World" didn't like. There was more than one side shown of the characters who were described a bit one-sided in the first book and some aspect that the show dealt with but " A New World" had not mentioned so far are dealt with again in this book. Every fan of "The Tribe" should read "A New Dawn"!

Love
So happy to finally have another book to the series. If you loved the show, the books are a must. I wish they could have continued at list to explain why the virus started and came from. Without giving too kuchen away, this was exactly what I needed.

The long awaited sequel to the first novel by A. J. Penn a New World, this arrived just before christmas, and was one of the best presents I had, what can I say it's The Tribe, any sci-fi fan would love this series, wether it's the TV series or the novel series, plenty of drama of all denominations for lovers of all drama, I recomend to all, buy this book!

A good book, but really needs editing properly
As a follower of the show, when I was a kid, I was quite excited to read more after the first book continuation. The story is well paced and interesting, although a little predictable in places. It felt like the author has really understood that the audience of the original show has now grown up and some of the themes really reflect that. The grammar has improved a lot since the last book, where it felt like it wasn't checked at all. There are still problems in this area, with sentences that just don't make sense and full stops where commas would work better. It's little things that mess up the flow when reading an otherwise quite good book.

Great Read
I loved this book so much and I literally couldn't put it down. A great sequel to the first book in the series and such an emotional rollercoaster. If you're a fan of the TV series The Tribe, then you'll love this.

Must read for Tribe fans
A great follow up to A New World with some very good new twist and turns. Apparently there will be a new one out end of this year, so fingers crossed as the cliffhangers keep on coming!
