Classy Dress
I am 5'1 120 lbs and measurement around bust 35, waist 31 and hips 36, I ordered a size 6 and the length is good. Right at the knee. The waist is a little tight but with a waist trimmer it should help. The dress is made of great material and the fact that it has a corset back let's me loosen or tighten were I need to. Love the dress and fast delivery

Cute, well made and looks expensive!
I initially bought this dress in a size 12 because I was going by the listed measurements. I have a pear shaped body so I went with my widest measurement, my hips to determine size since I was worried that the underskirt would be too tight (some reviews mentioned that it was snug). So my initial purchase was way too big. I should have thought about it better because the lacing in the back would allow for adjustments but even with the lacing pulled all the way in, the size 12 was still too big. This one, my second try was a size 8 and the size I should order if I went by my bust size alone. My waist was, according to the measurements, too big for a size 8 but I figured the lacing would accommodate that and I was right! So just keep the shape of the dress in mind. Yes, the underskirt wouldn't stretch but there is a bit of extra fabric. I had no problem with my size 12 hips fitting in the skirt of a size 8 and it wasn't tight at all due to the fuller skirt. The size 8 allowed me to show off the lacing up the back more so than the 10 even would have. The lacing is really what makes this dress so forgiving if you have a bit of extra weight around the mid-section.It really is a beautiful looking dress and looks so much more expensive than what I paid. The only reason I am returning this dress is because I am short (5'1") and it comes below my knees a bit too much making the length awkward and making me look like a little kid. I do not have time to have the dress hemmed or I would do that and keep it! It would make a super cute prom or homecoming dress for a teenager but would also look good on a taller 20/30 something. As for the petticoat underneath, you don't really need it. The dress comes well packaged and thus very wrinkled so you can't really appreciate the "swing" of the skirt but I'm sure a quick steam would make the skirt full enough that you could wear without a petticoat. If you want a true vintage look though, probably swing for the petticoat to make the skirt fuller. The petticoat might also "lift" the length of the skirt enough for a shorter person but again, time was against me on this one. I ended up at the dreaded mall trying on dresses :(

Lining is Smaller than the Dress size!
The zipper was broken so I couldn't really even try it on, but one thing I did notice was the this dress has a lining that is way smaller than the actual dress itself. It is not as pictured. The picture shows a dress that is FULLY lined, however, the lining on this dress is at least 4-5 inches shorter than the outside layer. Since the outside layer has sheer elements, you will be showing some skin. I am only 5 foot tall and the lining of this dress way halfway up my thigh, while the outer dress came just past my knees as I had wanted and expected. The lining is not only shorter than the dress though, it's also tighter. ALOT tighter. I don't understand the point of having the adjustable corset back if the lining feels like you are stuffed into a sausage casing! It was several sizes tighter than the dress, making it impossible to wear. Such as shame, because it's made of very nice material and a beautiful pattern and color. If the lining matched the size of the outer dress, it would have fit perfectly and been such an elegant and feminine dress. The lining fit made it useless.

Stylish vintage dress for less!
LOVE THIS DRESS! It is most certainly vintage-inspired; the tulle skirt underneath the dress is poufed just enough to give the look and feel of a 50's style dress. However, it is modern in style with the tie-up back and ribbon bow. This can be worn with flats, heels and I can even see it with boots and a short sweater. I wore it for Christmas day with a silver sparkle short sweater and it was perfect. The silver worked well with the lavender lace and cream lining. If I were getting married, I would seriously consider using this particular dress for bridesmaid dresses. That is how nicely made this dress is. I ordered a size 2 and it fits perfectly. The bust has a bone-shell built into the dress with a bra strap to enable it to fit securely. Additionally, the dress arrived ahead of schedule packaged in a small plastic- type Ziplock bag. Please don't be turned off by this; it did not affect the shape of the dress in any way. I hung it up after I opened it and it was just fine. Overall, I would highly recommend buying this dress for any elegant affair.

Pretty dress but zipper is broken
4 stars - The design and color are exactly as shown. It falls above the knee length and nicely flows. Doesn't need a petticoat to puff it up. The quality of the dress itself seems to be of reasonably high quality fabric.2 stars - The tieback behind will need someone's help to tieback. If you try yourself, you would have to weave the ribbon first and then put on the dress which can be very challenging.1 star - The quality of the zipper is very cheap. I only tried it once and the zipper was broken. I didn't have to force as the size fitted me fine.Too bad I have to return because of the broken zipper.Hope the seller will use high-quality zipper in the future to eliminate such defects.

Super cute, and not stiff as I'd expected from ...
Purchased this for homecoming. Super cute, and not stiff as I'd expected from other reviews.y daughter is 5'7" and this was an appropriate length (neither too short nor too long). Very happy with it! She got so many compliments on it, and it was a very comfortable dress for her to wear - she loved the fit, could move easily, and loved the way it made her feel. Perfect combo of dressy and appropriate. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars was the lace up back. It was fine, but the lacing and the fabric behind it were ivory. We didn't love that look - too much ivory in one spot - so instead we got some navy fabric to lace up the corset instead. MUCH nicer.
