WataMote Volume 1 Blue Ray/Soundtrack Pack "No matter how I look at it it's you guys' fault I'm not popular"
This is an original imported Japan region Blue ray Disc with soundtrack album CD deluxe package. The bluray contains the first 2 episodes of watamote in raw Japanese dialogue. It comes packaged with many exclusive extras you will not find elsewhere like diary of an unpopular girl and the musical score soundtrack as well as artwork. The bluray actually works in American bluray players so you don't have to guess if it will work or not with yours. This may or may not contain any English subtitle tracks so bear that in mind before buying. The main reason to get this is for the exclusive collector content and to support the original artists. However a new release is due this year, so if you don't have a good grasp of Japanese you should wait for the Sentai Filmworks release.

自分の高校時代を思い出します。自分の半生のアニメ化のように感じる。
私の過去は、もこっちの性別を男にして、あとは全部同じって感じでした…自席で寝たふり…ぼっち飯…文化祭…思わず「何で俺の過去を知ってるの！？」って錯覚に陥ります。（私が経験した、休み時間に寝たふりをしている時に珍しく話しかけられて「ちっ無視かよ、どうせおきてんだろ」と言われたりとか、文化祭で何もできず、非国民と罵倒されたりとかまではこの作品は無いですね…やはり目を背けたくなる寸前の所で、ブレーキはかけています）このアニメを見ていると、自分が女に生まれた世界を覗き見しているような気持ちになります。私にとって、特別な作品になりました。特典は、モジョノートの漫画が面白かったですね。対等な人間関係を築けないことがぼっちの原因であることを明快に描いています。

自分はもこっちに似てるなと感じました。漫画は既に読んでいますがアニメも面白かったので続巻も購入していきたいです。

2期のために買います
私の住んでいる所では放送していないのですが、原作を読んでこの作品は純粋に好きです。この作品で初めて「喪女」と言う単語を知りました(^^;あまりにも現実的な日常に決して暗いイメージを与えずギャグとパロディで進行していく物語です。何気に言う台詞が変に共感できたり読んでいて凄く面白いです。アニメ放送はBlu-rayで初めて視聴する事になりますがもこっちの動く姿が速くみたいです('∀`)♪2期のためにもマラソンしていこうと思います。

応援したくなる「ぼっち」の主人公
友達が少ない、いわゆる「ぼっち」の主人公を扱う類似作品は他にもありますが、この「私モテ」という作品は他作品で見られるストーリーが進むに連れて人間関係が充実していく主人公と違い、基本的に1人で奮闘し一喜一憂する黒木智子の姿が描かれているため、より「ぼっち」というテーマに近いと感じました。その一方で、より「ぼっち」の実状に近い作品でありながらも不快感だけが印象に残るわけではなく、ギャグやパロディの要素、黒木智子が思うより温かい周囲の登場人物達、そして何よりちょっと歪んでいる所はあるが素直な黒木智子は見ていて応援したくなります。最後に気になった点を１つ挙げたいと思います。ほとんどの方は気にならないと思いますが収録されている1話について、放映当初から気になっていた主人公が鞄にしまう前まで右手に持っていたコンビニの袋がシーンによって有ったり無かったりする所は個人的に修正して欲しかったので、－１とさせて頂きたいと思います。
