Cheap at any price for what it meant to me
Made this my camera of choice when I went to rolling Thunder this year. I took a video of the ride itself and others along the way. I own a GoPro and this is better and easier for us old guys. By the way the videos were perfect. My only suggestion would be for them to improve their handlebar mount. That plastic ball and associated equipment fails. Because I thought this trip was so important I spend most of my morning before the event to get a temporary fix Anyone afraid of this unit should not be

Dud.
Stopped working after the third month. Have not had the chance to contact the manufacture but when I do I will update feedback post. As of now I do not recommend this product at all!!

Best $100 Value Camera
First: Its a action cam for less than $100!!! How much can you expect??I bought it to attach to my kayak to take action video. I didn't want to spend to much $ in case I crashed & lost it. I used it on the 1080 setting & was pleased with the quality. Its easy to operate with the single switch & the vibration is strong to indicate record/on/off. No need to look for a color light if mounted on your head. I mounted mine to the front of my kayak & it never fell off. it continued to record even when I turned over & camera was submerged in 35-40 degree F water. Cold enough where I need a wetsuit. Even recorded when it bounced off a few rocks while submerged. The battery life lasted about 2.5 hrs which was more than enough for my needs. I only turned it on when I encountered rapids. So I give it a great review for durability & waterproof. Especially for $100!Now of course the audio isn't very fantastic, but good enough for what I wanted. Most of us are going to put music over it anyways. Yes it's a hassle to not be able to view what you're recording or change settings without plugging it in, but once again it only cost $100. No its not a GoPro, but its very good for entry level action cam users. Which is exactly what I bought it for./Users/RobinWhite/Desktop/Vids/ACTP0013.MOVGoes underwater @ 2:06 mark

Great Camera
Received a better product for the buck, some people are expecting a go pro quality you will have to buy Go pro, but for the money this product is perfect and tested already underwater and on the mountains and so far it is my best cam!

Great Purchase
Arrived promptly and intact; a very reasonably priced HD Action Camera. Have only done some basic testing, but I can tell it's going to fit my multirotor FPV need perfectly for now.

I'm sure it's a great camera but had to purchase separate mount
I'm sure it's a great camera but had to purchase separate mount, then it doesn't have a screen to see exactly where your shooting pics.

OK for the price , but left me wanting more...
Pros:* The low price.* Quality of construction.Cons:* Limited to 120 degrees field of view compared to 170 degrees offered by other action camera competitors.* Limited camera mounting options.* Grainy Low light capture.* Limited after market accessories like waterproof housing for submersed activity greater than the rated 30 feet.* cannot charge unit while in use.Because of the low entry price the camera is good introduction to Action Camera's but in my opinion it is not as good as the comparable offerings made by Contour or GoPro or Sony Action camera. It looks similar to design to a Polaroid XS100HD HD action camera. The biggest negative for me is the limited field of view of 120 degrees. I tested it on a bike ride, car dash camera and on AR15 rifle and the narrower field of view kept me wanting more...!!!Color is not corrected and can prove drab, flat and subdued in certain light conditions. In bright day light the colors are great.Configuration is minimal and requires connection to a PC or TV via HDMI port. There are instructions on how to do it without using a video monitor by clicking on the power button but that would be hard to do for the uninitiated. The auto orientation only works only 2 ways. 0 degrees and 180 ( upside down) . It does not correct at 90 degrees or 270 degrees like the Polaroid.I had trouble hearing the sound using Windows Media player and I thought I had a bad camera, but after searching the web and emailing MonoPrice tech support I downloaded another free video player called MPC-HC and the sound problem went away.As opposed to the other reviews sound capture is acceptable. It definitely does not cancel wind noise though.I initially planned to use to scuba diving at shallow depth less than the rated 30 feet ( 1 atmosphere) but I see no noticeable O-ring at the cap covering the rear outputs that I don't think I will even attempt it. I would only do it with a underwater housing. For my needs, I would have preferred it to have wider field of view and an available underwater housing option.I honestly cannot give this unit a 5 star rating even for it price point. It would be between 3-4 stars.

Stopped taking pics and video after first use.
I took this out for the first time and it worked fine for 2 pics and 2 videos and has now died. Cannot get it to take pics or videos and it no longer vibrates .... the green light comes on but nothing happens. Reset did not help. I will improve my rating if Monoprice has some good customer service....

Great camera at a great price.
Love this camera, have it strapped to my helmet for my cycling commute to and from work. Great quality picture and picks up small details easily, have a 32Gb micro SD so the battery runs out before the card. Easy to use and a great price. Hoping to strap this to the back of the bike and purchase the Monoprice MHD Action camera Mark 2 for my helmet.

Had high hopes, Shame it let me down
Well I can only give this 2 stars, as mine was faulty, the battery just wouldn't hold a charge for more than a couple of days, I should have known when I recieved it and tried to turn it on and nothing happened, not a good sign, tried full charges a few times,if u used it straight away and charge every time before use it worked, but if u fully charged it and left it for a couple of days it would be dead flat,so had to send it back and got offered a refund. It's a shame as it is a nice looking camera , and good for helmet cam as it vibrated to tell u when recording started, shame it doesn't record on a loop and the camera settings are a bit of a nightmare and there isn't really many settings to set up as it is.Video quality wasn't that good but ok for incident camera but for a action camera video quality not really good enough I would have said.I had high hopes for it but it just seems u can't get a good cheap camera that works as u want it, so I will have to increase my budget
