heat resistant to 445 degree!
These potholders really stand up to the heat. They are comfortable, and aren't cumbersome like I thought they'd be. I especially like them when I'm getting bacon, since I tend to splatter grease on my hands when I'm frying it. These gloves withstand up to 445 degree temp and even with the hottest pans I haven't felt a thing, very protective. Tonight I took baked potatoes out of the oven when I was wearing them. I've moved the hot oven rack while while wearing them and didn't feel a thing. They are also slip resistant. I wash them in soapy water and then air dry them by putting them in the dish drainer, fingers up so any water inside the gloves will run out and they'll dry inside as well as the outside. These are made well and the possibilities of uses is endless.

Snug fit & OK for quick tasks
Nice enough design & build quality seems good.Quite snug though. I wear size M or L gloves and these are a tight fit, even more difficult when hands or gloves get wet.Heat does transfer through at a faster rate than fabric gloves so these are useful for a quick task (e.g. removing item from the oven) but definitely not suitable for any longer contact (e.g. holding the cookie sheet while moving cookies onto a cooling rack). Also, seller will bombard you with spam so be prepared!

Gloves don't adequately protect the tips of fingers from heat if your fingers go to the end of the gloves
These gloves are inadequate for protecting the tips of your fingers. When taking out a cookie sheet of cookies out of a 375 degree oven, I felt an extreme burning sensation near the tip of my middle finger. After taking off the gloves, I could see there was a small red mark on my finger where I felt the burning. When looking at the gloves more closely, I noticed the raised little hearts on the gloves don't extend to the tips of the fingers. These raised little hearts provide extra protection from heat since the gloves are thicker where there are raised little hearts. Since my middle finger went all the way to the tip of the glove, I could feel extreme heat on the end of my middle finger. I did not notice the heat on the other fingers probably because they didn't reach the end of the glove.I have returned the gloves and will pay more attention to the fingers in the next gloves I purchase.

Great for unintended purpose!
great for turning chickens and turkeys or moving large pieces of meat from pan to cutting board. For that purpose, they are terrific. I personally don't like them as pot holders, though.

Not as Heat Resistant As Hoped
We took these out of the box and rinsed them in warm water, as the box instructions say, then let them sit overnight to dry. The next day -- the first time we used them -- my wife put them on while taking a cookie sheet out of the oven. Her hand started to burn almost immediately. I then tried them on and also picked up the sheet, and sure enough, these gloves let heat pass through very quickly to where it was very uncomfortable on my palm. I had to put the sheet down quickly to avoid being burned. There are lots of positive reviews on here for these gloves -- and maybe they're legit -- but the pair of gloves that I received did not work for me. We will probably use them on flat surfaces to set hot pans and pots on top of, but these aren't suitable (for us anyway) to be used as oven mitts. I also found them to be a bit snug for myself (a 48-year old male).

Very useful for a variety of tasks
Very nice quality. I find the pot holders a little large for a medium women's hand. I used them for the first time tonight and compared them to my Kevlar gloves that I've used for years. Although the Kevlar gloves fit a little better I think I will get more use out of the silicone gloves. I especially like that I can wash them after using them to take hot food out of the oven. I don't wash the Kevlar gloves as often as I'd like because they have to be air dried. Another positive is that I will feel safer using these gloves while pouring boiling water from a pot or releasing steam from my pressure cooker. I will probably buy more as gifts.

Kind of awkward in their shape and size for my normal sized hands (I wear a large in every other glove). They do a decent job of keeping the heat out when grabbing things from my smoker. The ridges in the texture make them somewhat hard to clean but I have run them in the dishwasher and that seems to work well.

NOT SAFE! "heat resistant up to 445 degrees Fahrenheit" my butt! resists what? 2 out of the 445 degrees so I felt 443?
I used this to pick up a cookie sheet in a new oven set to 350 degrees and the heat went right through it and burnt my fingers! These gloves barely had any effect on heat reduction. That heat went right through the gloves as if I wasn't even wearing them!!! Maybe it works on the thicker parts of the gloves like the tops of the heart shapes but if you grab the edge of a pot/pan or in my case a cookie sheet and the edge lands between the heart shapes or in an area where there are none of the heart shapes or in the valley between the heart shapes created by flexing the glove as you would when picking something up or gripping something... well be prepared for a shock. I thought my hand would be protected and trusted in this product but clearly my trust was misplaced. I will never use these gloves again!!! I'm just glad it wasn't my daughter using them!!!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT!!!
