A few years ago, I bought a set of 1157 switchbacks for my car. About a month ago, the amber element stopped working (meaning the white would shut off and then nothing would happen), and I went through literally every 1157 Switchback on Amazon trying to replace it with one of the same brightness (the ones I bought at the time are no longer available). None of them were as bright as the ones I had. I had really good experience with JDM ASTAR in the past with my other car, so my hope was that these would be able to match the brightness of the old set. If not then I was out of luck.So at the end of the day, you need to ask yourself if the price is worth it. These are over twice the price of most of the 1157 Switchbacks on Amazon at the time of writing (they are a little more expensive than the ones I bought back then too, but oh well). On the other hand, they are the brightest ones on Amazon, speaking as someone who burned through all of the ones Amazon had on offer before getting the ASTARs; and by a margin that isn't really close. Whiter, brighter driving light portions; much brighter amber portions. Even the ones on Amazon that use the same design as these are considerably dimmer than these (the amber in particular being dim enough that I'd question using them at all). I'll of course update this if something goes wrong with them sooner than I'm expecting, but I've had really good experience with JDM ASTAR's quality control in the past so I've always felt the price is worth it; especially when they generally tend to be the brightest in any given type of bulb you can choose from as well. These go Amber-off Amber-off when the turn signal or hazard lights are active.

There are really good and bright. But the hyper flash so you have to get resistors and do that whole process.

I bought JDM before and like their products. Put these in my 82 Camaro. Look fantastic and very bright. Now need to update my rear lights.

The quality and brightness are great. But they do hyper flash .

I bought these to put on my 04 Harley FXSTI softail standard the did light up and they did work but I could not get them to look into place as well as get the cap back on to the housing! The bulb is a little to long. I was able to put them on another vehicle with no problem just not the vehicle I wanted them to go on. The switch back worked as well with no problem!

Put them in my old 1991 chevy k1500 blinkers , and the damn light bulbs stripped out of there own housing. The old glass halogen light bulbs are tougher than these things. Not to mention the old bulbs fit way tighter than the new ones too, very disappointing.... had to put more solder on the connection points to tighten them up and super glue the housing so the don't spin
