Vallejo Thinner, essential to get it right
Vallejo is a well known name in modelers acrylic paints. Some of these are formulated for airbrush use but others need to be thinned. This is the thinner to use specifically with Vallejo acrylic paints, both as a thinner for airbrush usually 25-50% mix for a smooth spray quality. Or it can be used to thin down colors for effect, such as a light wash, the correct thinner will not effect the adhesion or degrade the paint. Vallejo use a water based formula which has no chemical smell. The thinner may be used with similar formula paints but test for compatibility before using it on your project. This is a high quality product and represents good value for money.

I use this all the time to thin paints and as a fixative for Vallejo powdered pigments and it does both jobs very well.

Haven't used yet but hopefully thins down the vallego paint because other thinners don't work with vallego paints. I had heard vallego paints had to be thinned with this specific vallego thinner. I thought that sounded like utter nonsense, but the other thinners I had absolutely didn't work with my vallego paints. So I'm supposed to receive this today so we'll see because I hate to think I wasted $35 on 6 bottles of vallego airbrush paints.o

cleans up brushes and thins paint very well
this is a great thinner but I would say that when thinning paint that is not already "air brush ready" you need dome flow improver, a little water, maybe some retarder and some of this to get a paint that dries when you want and flows how you want. this product I have noticed does make the paint dry a lot faster when used alone to thin paints that are on the thicker side. all in all it is a must have and I always run this through my air brush last after I have cleaned it because it will even remove dried acrylic paint like a charm...great for standard brushes too!
