Supernatural Live

This is a fantastic show. I owned it previously but somehow was misplaced. I can't for the life of me understand why it's never been re-issued on Blu-Ray or 4k. It's good enough that I would rather have it on DVD (which anymore, standard DVD's have become hard to watch) than not have it at all. The version of Angel is spine chillingly good. Very much recommended, even on DVD.....

This is good ol music, from when there was real music made in this world, i already own this DVD, but it is buried in a storage unit where it was easier for me to buy a new one than spend half a day looking to the one i have stored.

What can I say.....I love the guy ! Been a fan since his first hearing Black Magic Woman in the late 60's. Saw him at the Felt Forum in NYC when Neal Schon was still with him. WHAT A NIGHT ! ! ! Some artists live disappoint compared to their albums, not Santana. This performance is no exception. For me, this is was money well spent.

I liked the 6 songs done by Santana ALONE but I wasn't thrilled with the guests. Maybe I just prefer music from "the good old days". I would recommend the other concert I have "Live at Montreux 2011". Same with the guests but there was 23 songs. Now THAT was a great concert!

If you love Santana and his Supernatural album, this is the live version which does not disappoint. I have watched this DVD for over 16 years and I still love the performances. Having Sarah McLaughlin perform in this concert was a very awesome bonus.

I agree with all the other 'public' reviewers however, not with the last line of the Amazon reviewer, "But a duet with label colleague Sarah McLachlan on "Angel" yields the concert's only anticlimax--on a ballad built from spare piano and a poignant lyric, Santana's innate taste leaves him little to contribute beyond a delicate tracery of classical guitar". But what a tune to add to a concert ! That song just has to be up there as one of those songs you listen to when the candles are lit; songs like November Rain. I keep playing this song over and over (with or without candles !)
