***UPDATE***After a little over a month of heavy use I am please to report back that these have held up very nicely!I had a buddy cut his feet on glass while swimming in a river once. He had to get several stitches. Because of that I wear shoes in any body of water that isn't a swimming pool.I have taken them kayaking, to the river, spearfishing, snorkeling, to the beaches of Mexico, and most recently on a 5 mile hike!-At the beach they did fill with sand so I had to rinse them out occasionally but everyone else was kicking the reef and had bloody toes so I was grateful for them!-I was amazed at how well they held up on my hike. It was fairly difficult with over 1500ft elevation rise. The trail was muddy and slippery from a rain storm. The shoes were soaked from the rain/swimming. I didn't even wear socks with them while hiking. They performed wonderfully and I didn't get any blisters or sores. I seriously love these shoes!---Original Review---I struggled to find a good pair of shoes to wear at the river. There may be glass and fish hooks so I need protection for my feet but something light and agile enough to swim with them on. I HATE those dumb water socks 1. because they are fugly and 2. they usually are extremely uncomfortable. Sandals either fall off your feet or the soles are too thick/heavy. I have been wearing Vans Era but they are too heavy to swim with after filling with water. These take the best from every shoe style and make the PERFECT hybrid shoe.I ordered a size 7 Men and received a size 38 euro style and the fit was spot on. I wear a size 7.5 Mens in your classic Van's shoes.I received these in the mail and immediately headed to the river for some spearfishing.I could not believe how light and comfortable they were.I could hop over rocks and through the water with exceptional grip.Swimming is very easy and it does not feel like your feet are too heavily weighed down.I was even able to shove these in a pair of diving fins for snorkeling without too much trouble.The shoes fit snug around the ankle so I rarely had to clear them from sand or small rocks.The laces are sturdy so you can tighten them down as tight as you wish or keep them loose.They advertise these as casual walking shoes (and they are!) But, they are so much more than that. They are perfect for any activity where water is involved and you need to protect your feet.They look good to wear around casually as well!I look forward to each time I get to wear them. YES! I would recommend these to anybody.

These things are worth every cent. Whether I just hate $5 water shoes from Walmart or they are actually worthless is irrelevant. These shoes are the real deal. Living in Texas means water sports activities are required in the summer to stay cool. Between floating the river to hiking the Green Belt, these shoes can do it all. Unlike other water shoes, these are well built, look great, and provide decent traction.I first took these out on a 3 hour tube ride down the river. They worked out perfectly for when I got flipped out of the tube and had to catch myself on the rocks. They really shined on our hike to the Green Belt. Between crossing the river multiple times to climbing a few rocks, these things were great. All the while looking like I'm out with some new Vans. Love these. When I asked my wife what color I should get, she forbid me from getting them because they were "the most ugly excuse for shoes I've ever seen". So naturally I ordered them. Extremely comfortable and super grippy, almost feel sticky but in a good way. I bought them for casual wear, wading in the creek and mostly driving my sports car. Provides excellent pedal feel and ultra flexible. The only down side is they stay wet forever! After swimming I put them out on the hot sunny sidewalk in 80 degree weather and 3 hrs later they were still too damp to comfortably wear. The best part is I've yet to go out in public and NOT receive compliments and questions of where to buy them. Then I get to give a massive "told you so" to the wife. She is still bitter. I might get her a pair for her birthday now.

I am a 200 lb male, athlete, with wide/flat feet. I find these to be very comfortable for all day wear, but let me provide some context to that.These shoes have absolutely minimal cushion. I am used to both running and walking in minimalist shoes (and barefoot), so these don't cause me any issues. I find the material of the upper to be stretchy, but not loose. I have not worn them without socks, but I imagine this would be very possible without it being uncomfortable. I love the styling and wear these with summer casual wear, usually khaki shorts and a button down shirt.It is a little hard to tell, but the upper is sheer in places so you will be able to see the color of socks through the material to a degree. I have no idea why you would be wearing something like red socks with these, but you would be able to tell all the way through the waffle portion of the upper. I have light blue ankle socks and that has been what I wear with these.As an added bonus, because the sole doesn't have a lot of structure to it (basically just a foot shaped piece of rubber) they pack down to nearly nothing. In fact, you could roll these shoes up and stuff them in something else without any issues.

I'm really happy with these shoes. The looked better then I expected and a pretty comfortable. If you're looking for arch support you wont find it here. I don't tie the laces and currently just tuck them in.

These are very light weight and comfortable for casual shoes. Especially for people with how have problems or pain with their feet. I wear them for walking the dog...especially in the rain...yes, my feet do get wet, but the shoes dry fast before the next walk. The best part is the soles...they are very much non slip, which is what I was looking for. They don't have much support...but that wasn't what I was looking for. I wanted something for quick outting in the rain....tennis shoes take forever to dry...these are very quick drying.I will say...I'm torn on the style and looks...but for what I need...they work perfect.
