Great Quality with a good price.
First of all, let me start like this. For $30 (or around that amount) this is the best fisheye you can get. But note, you CANNOT remove the macro lens if you want it to be usable. Now, saying that, let me continue.I have a few friends which also own this lens, and they seem to have different glass then me. Their edges are slightly sharper then mine, though it isn't terribly noticeable. Shots look great, the center is perfectly in focus, and it works well. I haven't experienced any issues with it, really. No squeaking when screwing it in, or a bad macro lens, or weird distortions, or anything.Note that when purchasing this, you will need an 18mm lens. (or, for example, an 18-55mm lens). Anything above 18mm and you begin to lose the fisheye effect.I have pictures which I can give as examples, but if you need any demonstration shots, e-mail me at danstheman7@ymail.com , but give me a few weeks, as my Nikon D5000 is currently being repaired :(Overall, you should definitely buy this fisheye over the others offered.

How do you get it to work????
This is how I felt: This seems to have been a waste of money. I can't get the camera to take a pix with it on (I have a Nikon D60). There are no instructions, I have tried every setting imaginable. Would the guy who said it worked just great mind telling the rest of us - HOW? It is screwed on, that isn't the problem. My camera cannot focus with it on.UNTIL - I found this discussion thread [...] It helped me get the right settings and now I can actually take pictures with the lens. Wish me luck

Works with Nikon D40 kit
I have a Nikon D40 and it works well. I suggest this for people that want a macro and a fish eye.The pictures turn out great when I totally zoom out but when I want less of the concave effect i zoom in.I can't afford the real thing , and the price was great.I had no problems with attaching it to my existing lens and the pictures turned out great. As for the macro I had no problems with it. I just have to practice holding the camera still.I use it for fun and just to experiment with.

Ok for the price
Ok. It is inexpensive & it screws on to whatever lens you have. It comes with adapters so it'll probably fit the lens you have. I have used it of several of my Nikon lenses and the best results have been with my DX 50 mm. There is blur/stretching at the corners of the image, so don't expect high quality, wide-angle fisheye or panoramic images with this lens. But for the price, it's fun to play around with. I've used it to capture acceptable timed exposures of the Milky Way. In shots of star fuels, the streaked effect at the outer edges kind of adds interest. But it won't get you published.

My favorite budget fish eye!
If you like fish eyes and don’t mind the distortion or light bleed on dark shots, this is the fish eye lens to get. I purchased mine over a decade ago and still can’t stop recommending this lens! While I love doing the full fish eye, I also like that when not fully zoomed you can play with the distortion. Having the additional macro lens that can be used alone is such a great feature, although I never fully got into macro shots and don’t have the best example. For under $20, this is an amazing buy to jump into photography.

An excellent effect adapter lens.
I've bought from 47th Street many times over the years... even before the internet, and they have always delivered quality items at decent prices. I'm glad that they are marketing their items through Amazon; it's easier than ever to order from them. As for the Opteka Fisheye lens, it seems to be of good quality and produces the special effect that I needed. If you're looking for a flat-field wide angle adapter lens, this is not what you want. You'll get the fisheye distortion with this lens at just about any amount of zoom or focal length of your prime lens... it's definitely an effect adapter lens...well worth the price if that's what you're looking for.

Does not work with Nikon D5600
Though the title of the lens, says it's compatible with a Nikon D5600, it did not fit on the camera body or lens as an extension. If it did fit, the lens would be very cool and affordable though..

Please Look at Pictures it takes before buying. Works with Nikon D60.
*This is a specialized lens. The macro lens is used for taking close up pictures of small objects (insects, pennies, etc), and the fisheye lens is used to take pictures whose results appear as a fisheye, eg real estate pictures, nature photography, sports, etc, etc. This lens does both, which is a good thing. The lenses capabilities have been listed by other reviewers. I think that, for the price, it takes pretty decent pictures. I only have one problem though; when taking the 'fisheye' pictures, (the round pictures that resemble the eye of a fish) sometimes, there is a streak of light, barely noticeable, that penetrates the portion between the normal camera lens (18-55) and the macro-fisheye lens. I have tightened the lens to try and eliminate this, but a keen observer may point this out! As for the issue with the flash (pictures come out badly when flash is used, and you should not use the flash while using this lens), I saw that, even with minimal light, the D60 was able to use its internal flash to light up the picture! For those complaining, please note that a Nikon fisheye lens costs $699, and a Nikon macro lens is [..]. To take pictures using the original Nikon macro or fisheye lenses, similar to those this particular Opteka lens takes, you would need to purchase the two lenses separately at more than [..]! (or even more)Unless you earn your living in specialized photography, or are a perfectionist to the T, then this lens is good for beginners, amateurs and semi-professionals, and about [..]cheaper!Please look at the pictures posted above submitted by reviewers, and their website recommendations to be able to see exactly what type of pictures are produced by this lens, if you are not exactly sure. Here is my link I found [..]

Opteka 35x HD²

Complimenti!
