This does what it says it does. I took it to Wales where it tipped it down with rain and I stayed warm and dry. The fit is generous but if you ask for the actual dimensions of the coat you will arrive at the right size for you. I take a 14/16 coat but in this I am a size 12/ Medium. The shaping is straight not tailored so make sure it will fit your hips.The shoulders and arms are very generous so no worries there about putting a woolly under it. The two way zip is handy as you can open the coat at the bottom to allow for free movement. Best thing I have bought in a long time. A good tip is to hang it up for a day or so to air before wearing as the wax is a little damp due to being packed in a plastic bag. The coat will then feel nicer. Also the creases will drop out too. I think it is a very smart and classic coat and it will be very useful this winter.

Swift delivery and heavy wax jacket as described. Excellent value for money. Don’t expect it to be a couture shape. It’s functional/practical to keep out rain and snow to just mid-thigh length at 5 ft 8 ins. Hood stored in pocket for packing - just in case you think it’s missing.

Brilliant coat I am so pleased with it. It is exactly as described and the quality is just brilliant for the price. Only thing is that the sizing is quite big so if you are like me and are a size 8-10 I would order the XS as that was big enough but overall so happy with my purchase.

Very good value and pleased with purchase. The coats come up on the large size so returned my order and ordered smaller size,even that is quite large on me but happy to keep as I can wear heavy jumpers beneath. My account was credited ver quickly from my returns. Both coats were delivered quickly too

Good value for money. Was able to get measurements from suppliers to compare with my very old wax jacket and chose size 14 (usually would buy 16) as I do not intend to wear chunky jumpers underneath. One star removed as sleeves are a little long and shoulders a little too wide. More of a men’s fit, perhaps. But it is warm and waterproof, so I am pleased with it.

This jacket is NOT a women's/ladies fit as described, it is a mans fitting, and the size I ordered which was supposed to be a ladies size 20 was huge! It said 3XL on the label so does NOT equate to a women's size 20!! It would have gone round me twice and the sleeves were about 6 inch too long! I do wish sellers would not describe clothing as a women's fit when it obviously is NOT!! Then have to faff about re-packaging and sending it back! All extra time and inconvenience which could be avoided if items were sold with the correct description!! Most annoyed

I have had this coat for a couple of months. Since receiving it I have worn it daily, despite having various coats that are more expensive. This coat is of excellent quality, unbelievable for the price. Only slight problem is it comes up a little large for size, but on the plus side it allows me to wear a thick warm jumper underneath.

Lovely thick padded coat. Quite long though and arms are massive, not just too long but really wide, almost batwings but despite this I kept mine because i wanted it for gardening and walking the dog & want to wear thick jumpers and layers underneath when the weather gets a bit more icy so the bigger fit suits my purpose. If you prefer more fitted then get at least 1-2 sizes down. Otherwise I love the country look and although not waterproof it is well enough padded and a little resistant enough to keep one dry, as long as you dont go out in a hurricane.
