Not strong at all!
I must have gotten a bad batch. After handsewing a tight pouch for a knife sharpener 2"×4"×3/8" I soaked it water overnight and the thread came apart in more than 10 sections when I tried to shove the sharpener in by hand.

Dull needle
The cord seems of a very high quality but the needle is too dull to puncture most shoe sole materials.
