Great quality
Perfect! Works exactly as it should, great quality. You can tell a weight difference between this controller and the cheap ones as this one has a lul more weight to it

A mixed bag of Good and Bad
Pros:- Feels great in your hands. Dare I say better than the Xbox controllers. (I'm an Xbox One owner so no bias here)- It's light. You feel much less hands fatigue during and after a long gaming session.- Precise analog sticks. They feel a bit more precise than the Xbox 360 controller. Just enough dead zone and resistance of the sticks.- Love the texture of the controller. The bottom especially is grippy, but not rough so you sand your hands.- It works on Win 7, albeit you have to use DS4Windows to achieve that. It's simple enough for most.Cons:- Battery life. 1000mAh battery gives you about 4-5 hours of playtime. You basically have to charge after every gaming session.- L2 and R2 placement are awkward. The most often used buttons on the contoller requires that you angle your index fingers uncomfortably in order to press them. It feels natural on the Xbox box controllers, but not on these.- L3 and R3 button quality is questionable. They make crunchy and crimpling noise when you press on them, instead of the tactile, clicky sound you get on the Xbox controllers. It's one reason why I might return this controller. I question how long they might last.- The touchpad is just plain annoying. They get in the way of gaming because they behave like the right stick in game and are placed so close to the Share and Option buttons. The buttons are not pronounced and so you end up touching the touchpad every time you pause the game or press Share to access the in-game menu or options.I feel that the Xbox 360 and One controllers are better than the DS4. The L2 and R2 buttons are placed ergonomically and doesn't include gimmicks like the touchpad that only get in the way. I also prefer the ability to just switch batteries on the fly, rather than having to charge them after every use. Finally, my Xbox 360 controllers work great even after 10 years of use. But as for the DS4.. looking at the L3 and R3 buttons, it makes me wonder if it'll even last a year. Unless you really like light weight controllers, I'd say go with the Xbox controllers.

If you game a lot, you will notice a difference
This new version of the DualShock controller is definitely worth replacing your old ones with. I do a lot of gaming (4-8 hour sessions, 5 days a week) and my old version controllers were starting to get pretty worn out. I was looking to hold out for the new E-games endorsed controllers that are dropping later this year but when I heard this was available and read the specs I thought it would be worth trying them when they dropped to $40 sale price. What was appealing to me was the longer battery life and ability to "hardwire" the controller with a microUSB for basically 1:1 input (no input lag)A few notes about this controller:1. Hardwiring a PS4 is EXCELLENT and long overdue. If you are a casual gamer or play games that do not require a lot of precision movement, you may not notice a difference. If you play a lot of FPS or fighters at a high level, you will notice a difference with this controller. Playing Destiny last night I found that the trigger pull to my gun firing was instantaneous. Turning was quicker and more precise, I even noticed being able to move through menus quicker. My old controllers must have been more worn out than I thought. If you are going to hardwire, a few important things to note:- Make sure you go into your "Device" settings in your PS4, then under Controllers make sure to select it to run off of USB instead of Bluetooth. This only works for this new gen Dualshock controller, not the old ones.- Make sure you have a microUSB cable that is long enough for your gaming / seating setup. I generally like to buy things that are bigger than necessary so I pulled the trigger on a two pack of 10' long cables for like $8 ([2-Pack]Micro USB Cable,10FT/3M Extra Long Type A Male To Micro-B Male Charging Data cord For Samsung Galaxy S4 S6 S7 Edge Note 4 5 LG G3 G4 Android Canon Nikon camera MP3 player. I am glad that I did, because the risk you run when hard wiring is the cord getting pulled and you going dark during a game. I did not have this happen while playing but when I put the controller down for a quick break it disconnected. Note for if this happens: Make sure you plug the controller back in and hold down the PS button to reconnect it. So the theme here is if you're going to hardwire make sure you get a cord that has plenty of slack for your seating setup.2. The buttons and joysticks have a nice, improved matte feel to them. The triggers feel crisper and have a slightly heavier trigger pull (again, probably more noticeable due to my old ones being worn out). The joystick material feels a lot more durable and for some reason they seem raised slightly higher than the old controllers. They probably aren't (it could be that the material is new and hasn't worn off yet) but that definitely made in game movement easier.3. The small light bar shining through the touch pad on top is a nice touch but frankly I don't play many games where the light bar is that important to to me.I can't comment on how much longer the battery life is as I've only played it in hardwired mode but that would be a nice added benefit for those times I do go wireless (which I may never do now). If you're on the fence about this and you do a lot of gaming, it is definitely worth the investment!

Nothing Better Then A Classic Dual Shock 4 Controller
Happy to have one of these again.I had originally bought a HORI Fighting Commander Octa. It was one of the worst fighting game controllers I had EVER used. I primarily play my fighters on D-Pad. Sadly the HORI Octa has been known for having a defective D-Pad and sure enough mine did as well. I immediately returned that trash and ordered the good Ol classic Dual Shock 4 Controller. Took me about a week to break in the D-pad, but I'm back to playing fighting games.A genuine Dual Shock 4 Controller is hard to come by online with the knock offs floating around. Hell I may buy a second next month as a backup.

Power in your hand
Love these controllers my one caveat is after a while they tend to stick other than that happy gaming that's also why I bought multiple controllers
