Great for a garage warrior or pro alike
I am not a professional so my use of these is going to be more limited than most users spending this sort of money on a flap disc.I am an at-home-hotrodder that does a great deal of metal work on the weekends. That being said I measure a majority of my projects by time spent and how loud I have to be to get them done.Using a flap-disc is something that I have to do every weekend so the shorter I do it the better. I have used over 10 different brands and I'll never buy another one after using these. The material removal rate with this product is twice as good as any other disc I have used besides the 3M cubitron. The chinese junk I have bought on eBay might be a third as slow and last less than a quarter as long.I ran one disc for almost an hour this weekend and it still has some gas left in the tank. The surprise is that they maintain their ability to remove material even as they wear, unlike most of the ones I have used. These are the spin on style, which would save you time when changing them but this isn't really a benefit here because you don't change them very often!

Lasts a long time, eats weld beads, and can make very smooth surfaces.
Pros:- Lasts a long time,- Seemingly makes weld material disappear,- With different pressures applied can be very gentle to rather aggressive.Cons:- The overlapping edge of flap material can disappear very quickly with accidental misuse,- Doesn't seem to work anywhere near as aggressively on material that has been wire brushed.Story time:I've been using these disks for a total of about a year. The individual disks probably last me around 2 months at near daily use, at welding school and with a little life still left in them. With very careful application of pressure using a worn down disk, it is possible to get a nearly glass smooth finish.Weld bead approximately 1 to 2/8ths of an inch are very quickly ground flat by fresh and fairly well used disks, about 30 seconds or so per inch of weld. If used with the flap material flat against the material to be flapped, these disks will last approximately 3 months in a welding school environment of 4 hour days.As with anything misuse will damage the lifespan. I recommend taking my lifespans of disk above as a moderate level of use lifespan, without too many misuses.

Sticker shock at first but worth it in time saved
At first I thought that these we way too expensive for a flap disc but after using it on some spot welds I had done and a few beads and this will be the only disc I buy from this point on. Other than 3M's green corp discs there is nothing that compares to the speed at which this grinds. The $10/each price its up there but you'll earn it back in the time you save grinding. These are also quieter than other discs which helps when you're already "that" person in the neighborhood.

Worth it. Seriously. And I know how that can sound.
I’m in the middle of a massive DIY project. This hulk of a steel building meant to be a welding shop and prop up the listing wall of an old bank barn. I’m about 40 pounds of weld Into the thing (and yes it’s elaborate by design, insanity, etc.) and these discs absolutely keep us alive on the grinding work. As in—there’s no reason to try to blend welds or grind off corners with anything else. The amount of metal you can take off with a disc is incredible (hours of work), as is the speed with which it cuts. Best Flap Discs on the market in my humble opinion.

I've used a ton of flap disks over the last 10 years and these are hands down the best. And the cheapest when considering how long they make it. Compared to anything you'll find at a big box store they are in a completely different league. Even compared to a really good brand like Pferd they blow them away. These are the best available.

36/60, BEST SO FAR
There seems a great range of quality in abrasives, I've tried quite a few.a friend gave me one of these a couple weeks ago and I can't wear it out.It cuts aggressively but still leaves a surface smooth enough to paint.I'm talking iron work, not car finish. The plastic threads make changing easy, DeWalt has some good .045disks that use it to.I like these well enough to buy a stack of 10 in 36/60, I'll probably buy a few more in other grits.Good stuff!

I really like these.
I really like these.....they screw on and they appear to last....although I am not in a production environment, so I can't rate them that way. I have the cordless Walter grinder.....just perfect....I may never use a corded grinder again.....maybe.
