CrossbreedHolsters MiniTuck IWB Concealed Carry Holster for Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9/40

This is my EDC holster, break it in for a few weeks and afterwards you’ll forget your carrying, a very comfortable holster. I have the cowhide leather which probably takes a little longer to break in than the horsehide.

Pleased with holster, very comfortable. It arrived within 4 days of purchase. Packaging could be a little more professional.. after opening protective yellow envelope.. the holster was inside a crossbreed ziplock bag with nothing else.. no paperwork, catalog or even a sticker.. overall very pleased.

The only thing I don’t like is the inside part of the holster is going to be damaged because of the safety and barrel release and there is. No way around it.

Good Stuff

I purchased this holster and was originally really happy with how it fit, I was able to adjust the cant with the included clips, and the leather backing is very comfortable for EDC. However, because of the design, the pistol retention relies on the leather backing for half of it. The plastic on the front of the holster does indeed cover the trigger guard, but the pistol does not lock into the holster and can easily fall out of the holster if upside down or at weird angles. I would not trust this for carry if you had to go to the ground, and in my experience with laying under cars (mechanic) and moving around in non-standard ways I do not trust this to safely retain my firearm.

Comfortable secure concealed carry holster

My ccw instructor told me this was a horrible holster. Main issue was getting the proper grip from the holster. You cannot do this. You have to pull it and adjust, wasting valuable time that could be life or death for you or someone else.This fits the pistol but isn't hiding anything. If you're fit and don't wear baggy clothing, this will show a lot and EVERYONE will know you're carrying.This sits a little too deep and your belt/pants will start to come over the top.Stabbing myself:My thumb stratches or stabs into my side when trying to pull the pistol because it fits so close. It really hurts and could be fixed if they extend the leather behind the grip, instead of just behind the slide.I won't buy from this company until I see a leather backing extend between the grip and your body.

Uncomfortable will be returning this item so not buy
