Therapy Dogs: Training Your Dog to Reach Others Kindle Edition

Not well organized and not a lot of valuble info. I've read many dog and horse training books that were better. Illustrations not helpful.

This is a great book for someone who has no background or information at all about what therapy dogs do. I was looking for more instructional rather than informational.It provides a very comprehensive overview of therapy dogs tasks, how to your foot in the door of the therapy community and what to expect when u are there.

A bit dated now, but good basic info about training.

Kathy Davis' book is wonderful!I am using it, along with one or two others, to train my own Therapy Dog for my office and local hospitals and nursing homes. A must read for anyone wanting to get into therapy work with their dogs. Very informative. Walks you through the whole procedure for an easy look at what traits a therapy dog should have, and what they need to know, along with insight on what the owner needs to know about what is expected from them.

Kind of generic, repetitive, and nothing I didn't already know. I am a little sorry that I even bought it. How do I send it back to get a refund?

My dog is in training to become a therapy dog. This book describes many things I never thought of, great reading!

I bought this book for a friend of mine who wanted to get her dog involved in this type of training, she found it interesting and would recommend it to anyone that wanted to do the same with their dog
