Realistic photographs
I purchased this book for my elementary student to learn more about Pilgrims in American History. The photographs are great and help her see what life was like for a young Pilgrim. There is a biography in the back of the book that tells about the real Sarah Morton.

Great book!
Great book for the entire family. It's short, full of life-like photographs, and full of simp!e information, even a couple of authentic recipes! This book is from the actual Plymouth Plantation with the re-enactors.Hurry and purchase before they're all gone and the politically-correct books are the only ones you'll be able to buy!

Kid likes and educational
Bought Sarah Morton's day, tapenums day, and dia de los muertos for my 6yo and gave them all to her on Nov 1. She was attracted to the cover of dia de los muertos but it's the other two that she has asked to read over and over. Great educational material. Highly recommend.

Five Stars
A well written, informative, and entertaining story. My granddaughter is thrilled to read about one of her ancestors.

Great examples of daily activities
I bought this as a companion book to go with the one featuring a Pilgrim Boy, same series. I think the insecurities the girl expressed about bonding with a new stepfather would make more sense in the case of a divorced family. I liked the scenery and attention to detail for the period.

Good book that gives understanding to what it could of been like in the 1620s. HIGHLY recommend a read and making it an addition to any unit or collection. The wording is bad. The pictures are great and the glossary is a nice touch too

This is a wonderful book. I am a teacher and I spend the month of November teaching my students about the Pilgrims and Indians. THis book and Samuel Eaton's Day are great visuals for the students. (I have used in grades Preschool - grade 4. . . the older kids like the pictures as well.)

A Classroom Must Have
I use this book each November in my classroom. It gives a good understanding of how things were children when the Pilgrims came to America. It also helps the students to be thankful for what they have.

Cool book
I like this book and read it as a child in school. Today I read it to my own daughter. We especially liked Sarah’s poppet.

A great way into history for children
A great book with lovely big photographs of the Plymouth Plantation. The information is good, well presented and well suited to children. It manages to tell a lot about what real life was like by just going though a day with Sarah. Not only did my eight year old daughter enjoy learning about Sarah Morton's life she was fascinated that there were people who re-enacted pilgrim life.
