MYSTERY RANCH In and Out Packable Backpack - Lightweight Foldable Pack, 19L

This is my first purchase of a Mystery Ranch product. Unfortunately, a bit disappointed when the first shipped product arrived as you can see in these pictures: YSTERY RANCH. Manufacturing Defect? Or worse... a Rip Off? Please Amazon and Mystery Ranch go through your products. Where's quality control?

Almost $80 for a day pack screams buy me if you want the very best and it is great in many areas. I was attracted to this because it compacted down into its own pocket, has 4 outside compression straps, loops to attach items outside the bag, a hydration inner sleeve for a 2 L insert and a chest strap to keep the bag in place. There are not many, if any other bags, that have all these features. On the minor annoyance side I found that it was very difficult to get the bag out of the stowage front pouch the first time I used it and once out was very difficult to get it back in, but it is doable. The big let down was the hydration storage pouch which is oddly shaped and in know way able to hold a 2 L bag. I was able to fit a 1.5 liter bag in it, but a 1 liter would be a better fit after taking into account filling the bag. If the there is a particular hydration bag that Mystery Ranch recommends I do not know but of the three hydration bags I have 2L and under none really fit.

After carrying this pack for less than 30 total miles with less than 3 pounds in it at any given time, in less than two months of owning this pack, it is falling apart. Super disappointed in the fabric quality!!!! I tried giving MR the benefit of the doubt of receiving a lemon / a bad one in the batch, but they want me to pay to have it repaired. For a company that prides themselves on durability, this was a complete waste of money. I have had REI Flashpacks that I carried for 3+ years on much more extreme trails that held up better.

i love the quality of this bag, but unfortunately, when loaded and pressed against my back, the sweating isunbearable, and yes, i know its a light weight foldable pack, but the material is very high quality for a foldablebag, and does not allow much, if any airflow, love the pack but it makes me sweat too much sadly

For a fast light summit pack? This is hard to top. I wouldn’t use it as a daily beater, its not designed for it. But looks plenty durable for as compactable and light as it is. Plenty of room for a windshirt, vest, fleece hat, small first aid kit, liter water bottle, sun block and a snack oh and a headlamp. I could easily stuff a little more in there but for multi pitch climbing? Thats plenty.And for $80? I think this is a win. Will see how it holds up this season.

This daypack is constructed of durable materials, yet it is super lightweight. Plenty of room to carry all your essential gear when venturing out for the day. As others have commented, the water bottle pocket works best with narrow-diameter bottles. A minimalist daypack that is built to last. Highly recommended.

I am using this pack as something I put in my duffel bag when I go camping and then use as a day pack instead of having to bring a bulkier and heavier pack. Very effective at that purpose and considering it's a Mystery Ranch, it's the best of the best in terms of material quality. Currently own a ravine, and urban assault tri-zip and all 3 packs are stellar.

Lightweight and durable. Easy to slide a camelbak hydration system into it. Can carry a lot of clothes in it. Hardly even knew it was on my back even in the toughest parts of the climb.

Great compact lightweight little pack to throw in with other luggage when traveling light!

Too expensive for a collapsible daysack.

アタックザックとして購入しました。生地もしっかりとしているので、一眼レフとレインウェア、サイドポケットに三脚、食料に水分、ファーストエイドキットをパッキングして試してみましたが、ホントいい感じです。

畳めるのが凄く便利です!しかし元の通り畳み直すのは難しいです。安っぽくなくて気に入ってます。
