Not Authentic, Emblem isn't coned shaped & HOLES DON'T LINE UP +++!
I purchased this plate on Amazon because I can only assume because of Coronavirus there's a supply chain disruption. I tried to by at the BMW shop and it wasn't available, not even in chrome. I have had 4-BMW's over the years and always put an emblem plate on the front of my car. Mine was starting to look a bit discoloured and I wanted to replace it so I bought this one. BIG MISTAKE!The real plates come cone shaped, this came nearly flat - that was the first sign! Second sign was the packaging and third was the extra "unnecessary" parts that came with the emblem plate for installation. But, I thought, "well, although I don't like it (the flat look, knowing it wasn't the real deal) I thought, "I will put it on and deal with it for now." Then I tried to put it on and the holes don't even line up!The emblem plates from BMW have vertical slots to put the screws into and this one has horizontal slots and they don't even line up with the slots.I don't know who these people are that left good reviews but this plate is not original and does not work! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

Knock-off
As others noted, this is not the real deal. It is a cheap Chinese knock-off (even though the price isn't that much less than the real deal). The holes do not line up. I should have listened to the other reviews.

BMW Emblem Plate
If you happened to get a car that came with a plate holder drilled in to your front bumper then this BMW plate works perfectly if you do not want to use a license plate (I live in Nevada so we're not required to have it on the front and back of the vehicle).

Complete trash. Not gloss black like in the photo. They are Matt black and do not conform to the bmw plate holes as they should. Yes you can force it but why should you? Returning for something of better quality.

My first impression was that this is a quality item, it is heavy duty. Also included is any type of hardware you could possibly need to install the plate. It is very attractive and completes the look of my car
