Worth the bucks for using with a GoPro.
I use it for my GoPro. I video triathlons with 3 different camera systems. Drone, DSLR, and GoPro. It seems to help when running or panning as racers move by. It's light enough that I can use it for a few hours at a time. I shake a little to begin with. It doesn't get all the shake out of the shot but it lowers it enough that my software doesn't have to crop as much to get a smooth usable clip. Also I angle the silver extension to a 90 deg to use it as a stand on the ground to get that little extra cool angle as people are running by or if I need it to just record one angle while using my DSLR. When I'm done I can fold it up and throw it into a backpack and move on quickly.I tried to mount a Canon DSLR but it didn't seem stable enough. I didn't feel like I could trust it with a $1500 to $5000 camera system. That's my perception. If the extension was set on the bottom screw and extended all the way to counterbalance the weight of the DSLR the extension would flex and bounce making shooting awkward. I usually keep it on the 3rd hole (like in the vendor provided picture) and then push the extension all the way up. Having it on the 3rd screw also allows me to convert it to a quick ground stand. The more contact of the two metals this way made it feel like it had a better balance with the GoPro and little to no flex. I also removed the ball/knuckle. Worked better for me when I had to move quickly to keep up with the race to have a more solid and firm grip instead of something that would bend with every move.On a side note. I wish it came with 2 locking screws instead of just the 1. I ended up purchasing a second screw and mounting a phone holder so I could view the recording in progress.I'd recommend it to a friend and if I had a 2nd GoPro buy it again.

Meh.....it's just okay. Your results may vary.
I purchased this item in the hopes that it would allow me to take better tracking shots while on vacation with the family. I used it for stabilizing a fairly light Nikon Coolpix digital cam and a 360Fly panoramic camera. The stabilizer faired......just okay. It did a semi-decent job of absorbing any up and down movement due to it's heft, however the side-to-side motions tended to still have a rocking motion that I just could not eliminate. It may likely be user error, and likely after (much) more experimentation I could decrease it. But it's cumbersome.I will likely invest in better electronic image stabilization cameras in the near future instead of bulky stabilizers.3 stars are due, as it is worth the price for anyone who wants to stick with a low-cost method of getting [meh] shots with an inexpensive camera. Remember, your results may vary.

inexpensive stabilizer
It took me a bit of time to get used to this inexpensive stabilizer, but it is well worth the money. Do hope that we can soon get one for bigger cameras. Most stabilizers are not that great when you use em a massive pro camera. However, I like this one. Fact is, the best strategy is to start slow and later pick up your pace. There are many videos on you tube that you can watch about how to use stabilizers to get rid of shaky movies. I do rec.

Decent construction but poor design...
Item was used/scratched when I got it, but at this price point I wasn't concerned with that as long as it worked. Unfortunately, it failed on that front due to a poor design choice. It actually balanced quite easily with my Sony RX100iii, but as another reviewer mentioned, the ball joint attached to the handle does not allow enough tilt to keep the camera free floating. Instead, the mount hits the sides of of the plastic holding the ball whenever your hand sways more than 20 degrees to the side from center, which defeats the purpose of a steadicam. Hence I am returning the product and would advise to look elsewhere for this type of product.

as far as a budget stabilizer goes this is great. not to be used for every shot but for running shots its beautiful using a big assortment of cameras including a a6000. its easy to fold away into a backpackwithout having its parts flopping everywhere, its just very practical. gimbal is the next upgrade i want but this works great for everything else. also should work great to shoot using a gopro skiing or something similar.

It does the trick!
You get what you pay for, and for someone who is starting out with amateur home made films, this is great. It requires a basic understanding of balance and counter weight, but that's not much. It doesn't fall apart, and works for my GH4 panasonic. I only gave it 4 stars because it does take a bit of time, but as long as you're not using it with a bunch of lenses or different cameras in one day, you're fine. It barely covers the weight of my DSLR, so if your camera is heavy i would NOT go with this stabiliser.

Stabilizza a tratti

Can be good, it all depends on your set up
Can be good, it all depends on your set up. I've found that you can tinker the counter weights and everything, but for some set ups, the weight distribution just doesn't seem to allocate correctly. I can't seem to get it to sit right on my 35mm set up, but I've yet to try with my ultrawide.
