Awesome till later
I liked this book very much. The 1st book had an amazing sci-fi premise and the author did a great job with character development and the story as a whole. However, I have read 6 of these books and I had to stop. If you are like me an love a series to sink your teethe into I have a warning. This starts as an amazing sci-fi story but over time gets very political minded. Dealing in a socialist and very woke utopia. It just turned me off the series. It brings it in gradually till it goes full bore into the political of such things. I’m just letting readers know before hand. This book is great. But if you aren’t looking for a utopian Marxist woke look toward the world if only the right people had the power. This is not a series to pursue.

Good Fiction
This is SO much better than your ubiquitous "battle the whole galaxy" genre of Science Fiction. Is it Utopian world building? Yes. But I think that in a real world where most everything is falling apart, MOST readers like to read a little bit of fiction in which good things happen. I mean isn't reading Science Fiction an 'escapist' action anyway? All the other reviewers will tell you what this book is about, so all I am going to do is tell you that I think that this book, and all the ones that follow are well written, and really a joy to read.At one point I began to daydream about these books, wishing that something like this would really happen to a man that has the morals to do what good he can for the world, and not immediately try to see what HE can get out of it ... what's in it for HIM!People enjoy reading about this kind of character. I did ... and I sincerely think that you will too. This is really a great fun read, that avoids the spelling and formatting errors that you find so frequently in self published books.I have NO complaints about the books in this series at all ... except that there aren't more of them. What a great, enjoyable read! BUY THIS BOOK!!! It's cheap, it's good, it's well written, it not full of lurid sex scenes, it's entertaining, it's enjoyable ... what else can I say? SO MUCH enjoyment for SO LITTLE money. Just try the first one ... YOU'LL BE BACK.

Good, easy Sci-Fi reading - addictive
Just read this first book and downloaded the second in the series the same evening. Light Sci-Fi, a little along the lines of Larry Niven's style, in Ringworld, etc. Not "deep" with a lot of thinking required, just a good, enjoyable story line that allows you to read for hours, yet keep turning the pages so you don't want to put it down. Like most Sci-Fi, it requires the "willing suspension of disbelief" to truly enjoy. If you can do that you should find this an enjoyable page-turner.Will be interesting to see how the second book turns out.

This was a serious ride!
Starship Sakira (Delphi in Space Book 1) was an absolute delight to read. It was chock full of surprises, right to the final pages. There was continual action, adventure, and intrigue. And the good guys had to be very good in order to survive. This novela is a serious page turner, and I was amazed how the characters, and plot, flowed seamlessly. Do your self a favor, and take the opportunity to have some pleasurable me-time, enjoying this excellent book!

I found a Genie in a Bottle! Let's go save the world.
The books begins with Marc, a very clever guy, finding a hidden alien space ship. Unlike most alien space ships, this one did not crash and is fully functional. Everyone is in stasis except an extremely helpful AI, who speaks English and is happy to turn over the ship to Marc. Not only that, ADI the AI is happy to explain all the technology and help Marc to design anything he can imagine. Overnight, Marc has the best tech on the planet. Cool! Now what?Marc brings together some associates and they set about to change the world. Marc is an altruist who wants to make everyones life a bit better (rather than just focusing on Dodger Fans, for example). It is a fun and readable adventure. They do clever things, make cool gadgets, and mainly outsmart and outplay everyone else.Catie is Marc's very precocious 12-year old daughter. She is a mature genius, which is a bit irritating. I have been around prodigies, and they usually are as mature as you might expect. Catie acts more like 21 than 12 most of the time. I do not see the point of setting the age of the character so low, and then have her act out of her age group all the time. Oh well. One jarring note in the plot: the protagonists get into a fire fight with some bad guys and slaughter them. Some of the protagonist are former Marines, so I can see them shrugging off the murder of a bunch of evil people. Marc is not former military, and the idea that he would just move on without a thought is deeply disturbing to me.It is an enjoyable but not profound series. I ordered the next one.

Good story.
What kind of sci-fi fan doesn't dream of finding an alien spaceship. But that's just the beginning of the problems. Here, an author has really thought about the consequences and the how.Not for action fans, but for readers who are also interested in technology, physics and culture.

Hooks you and drags you in
This is a great read that is full of action and has lots of little twists and intrigue. Our MCs are fun and the youngest adds real value and isn’t just a prop. The world building is going to be interesting and I for one look forward to reading lots more in the series.Well paced and edited (slight issue 3/4 of the way in with LX9 suddenly changing to Lynx and back, but it’s the only one) with most characters adding value.Download and enjoy 😁

Captivant
