Microsoft Lumia 640 XL 8GB Quad-Core Windows 8.1 Single Sim Smartphone (GSM Unlocked) - Orange

I love this phone! I have had windows phones for six years and this is my favorite so far. I updated it to windows 10 and it is amazing. I even like the mouse on the keypad. I like it that it is just like my home computer. The camera takes beautiful pictures. It also has really good sound and has an equalizer. I don't think I got the duel sim cards and I'm kinda disappointed it only has 8 gigs of storage, but it was such a great price and I have a micro sd card, so it doesn't really matter yet. I haven't filled it up, but I have only had it a few weeks. When I did the update to windows 10, kid's corner disappeared and I was bummed about that too, but my kiddos are older now so I don't have to worry about them deleting all my pics or buying something any more. Those two things are so small that I don't even care about them really. I just love windows phones so much! I love it that all my devices are synced to each other too. Then my kiddos can easily see all our upcoming events and appointments when they pop up on the computer screen.

I bought this phone in February 2018. I updated to Windows 10.I have the following issues:- Battery is discharged at night, always. Nobody is using the phone, but it is impossible to start the day with more than 10% of the battery.- Sometimes, programs don't load correctly. They try lo load, but the system goes back to the initial screen. You have to reset your phone.- Camera turns off suddenly. You are recording some video, and your phone resets automatically.- Battery is crazy. Sometimes, you are using the phone with 80% of your battery, and suddenly, system says that you have 20% of your battery. You plug in your changer and in less than 5 minutes, your battery is 100%.- OS restarts very often (automatically).

Kind of pointless to review but great hardware and the best Phone OS so far. Still don't want to switch. As of review still getting Windows 10 updates. Able to use on both AT&T and T-Mobile in US, although T-Mobile won't update past 8.1 so far.

Att activated it with no issues at all. My sd card from my old nokia Windows worked with no issues. I am having an issue with the phone going black very quickly if I'm not using it. May be a setting problem. I really luv the phone but need to spend time learning all the features so I know if some problems are user error or maybe defective. It came set for Spanish and it took some time to find how to set for english. Upgrade to ten so easy. So far I would definitely buy again if needed. Great phone.

The phone itself is great, buy BUYER BEWARE this phone is not unlocked nor is it new. When I booted up the phone, it said welcome back as if it had been used once before. Also, when I boot up the phone, I get an AT&T splash screen. Very disappointed. However, as for the hardware itself, it is amazing. You are not going to get a camera this good at a price this cheap and the battery is stupendous. Extremely unfortunate that the phone is locked otherwise I would have kept it. If you have ATT and it works for you, then you will not be disappointed. As for me being a T-Mobile customer, it is a shame I have to return this phone. Cheers to whoever gets this phone, I hope it works better for you guys.

I had the smaller​ version w less features and I adored it! However, it had been damaged and replaced more than once. At some point Microsoft had discontinued​ this model. I was delighted to have found it on Amazon!! Just arrived yesterday and I couldn't be more satisfied.

Great OS, decent sound, good reception, removable battery and sturdy construction.Unfortunately the camera is so bad and slow that it is nearly unusable and most apps are no longer supported making it a curiosity tech rather than a usable smart phone.

Exactly what my daughter wanted and all we had to do was switch out the sim card from her old phone to this new one. The size is larger which is great when her son is watching videos or Netflix.
