These are authentic!
I'm not going to lie... I don't cook and I haven't used it. My dear wife went on a UCLA food-school trip to Italy and this is what most of the Italians use to make pasta, both the chefs and the family cooks. We ordered it from Amazon on her return. There's no electric motor. There's no iPhone app. You have to turn the crank yourself. But it's authentic; millions of Italian cooks can't be wrong. And the pasta it makes is great, although for all I know there's more to making pasta than just running it through this little thing.

Great pasta maker!
I tried my hand at pasta making on New Year's day. This machine made it a lot easier! It rolled out the pasta super thin, and has a fettuccine and spaghetti cutter side. The mechanics of it worked really good. Only slight issue I had was the handle (which is removable by design to switch between the roller and the cutter) would fall out pretty easily. I know it's supposed to be easily removed, but a little tighter would be nice. I ended up dropping it about 6 times over the course of 3 hours of use, so I guess it wasn't that bad. The directions advised to run a piece of dough through all the mechanisms repeatedly to clean it first thing, which is good advice. Even cleaning it for about 10 mins with dough, if my pasta sheet hit the outside edge while going through, it would pick up some grey discoloration, so be careful of that and try to get all corners. I spent 5 hours making pasta, and can't wait to try it again this weekend! Great tool, very happy with it!

Great Machine!
I LOVE homemade pasta and with all the machines out on the market, it was difficult to choose. Imperia is the brand that many professionals use but I cannot afford one of those. The "pro" unit has stainless steel rollers, which I would prefer I could not find any prosumer unit that used stainless. The limited edition is described as having a new coating so I bought this machine. It works great and has been easy to clean. If you want more attachments the 150 attachments fit this machine. I gave this four instead of 5 stars because 1) No stainless steel rollers 2) The clamp included is not "long" enough to fit short overhang raised edge countertops in my apartment.

Homemade pasta is the best!
This pasta machine is well made, sturdy and makes the most amazing pasta. I love it! The only little nit is that it loosens a bit with use on my quartz counter which requires tightening it several times during a pasta-making session. But the pasta is well worth this minor inconvenience.

Great kitchen gadget
Started making my own pasta recently and acquired this kitchen tool. It is very easy to set up and use. If you are careful about working with it, it will give you a life time of successful pasta making. Very easy to clean - brush off the flour and stuck bits with a dry paint brush. Do not EVER use water on it and put it away. Easy Peasy!

Metal dust and attachment doesn't secure correctly
The media could not be loaded. We were excited to get it today as we are making pasta for presents for Christmas. To our shock, the machine felt like it's rubbing when the handle turns. Then lots of metal dust kept getting infused into the dough. I added a bit of oil to lubricate hoping that's all it needed. However it wasn't. It actually showed on the rollers where it was rubbing as the oil would be taken off where it was rubbing. The noodle attachment also does not go on correctly. When we ran the pasta thru it fell off. I have used my neighbors pasta maker prior to this last year and it worked wonderfully. So bummed. Hoping to find a replacement soon so we can make our gifts.

Budget cuts?
This is a heavy, yet fragile, piece of kitchen equipment. Alittle care and some bubble packaging, would’ve eased our concern and helped protect our investment.

... the pasta (using the recipe from their book) was good. I also used another recipe and it turned ...
I have used this 3 times and the pasta (using the recipe from their book) was good. I also used another recipe and it turned out very well, also. It stays firmly positioned, is easy to brush clean afterward so no issues there but the handle and tray do fall out unexpectedly which is not so good.I do like how it works, very easily!
