I recently started using Oshima Tsubaki Japanese Camellia Oil, and it’s been a game changer for my skincare and hair care routine! The oil is lightweight and absorbs quickly, leaving my skin feeling soft and moisturized without any greasy residue. I’ve also been using it on my hair, and it adds a beautiful shine while reducing frizz. It’s perfect for both dry ends and my scalp, keeping everything nourished and healthy. The only downside is that the packaging doesn’t come with a dropper, which makes it a little tricky to control how much I use. I like it. Makes my hair smooth and shiny.

I started using this a few years ago. I was watching a drama and saw a woman piling her hair. I looked it up and thought to give this a try since coconut oil does nothing for my ends. Ever since I turned 40, my hair became brittle on ends and very fine. I stopped highlighting my hair and I do blow dry my hair and flat iron it once a week. I live in Fl. This oil saved my ends. At least 10 people I know have bought this and their hair became healthier. A little amount goes a long way and if I still have oil on my hands, I rub my elbows and heels. It doesn’t have a scent. It truly is the best thing I’ve bought in a long time. I buy at least 3 a year. There was no English translation but this last bottle had a sticker with instructions and description in English. I preferred to use translation app and read the box/instructions when I initially bought it. You won’t regret it. I put this on once a week for a few hours or sleep with it on and wash it the next day.

I love this hair oil. It is light and leaves my hair glossing and light. It dies not leave a residue.

Works better than olive oil and coconut oil on hair and skin.

Update May 2024: Over 1.5 years and this is still my HG hair oil! Also, with using ~2 drops 2-3x per week, I still have about half a bottle left! Once I clear out more of my skincare backlog I’ll probably use as a cleanser too, or I should use on my cuticles as I’ve started doing that a few months ago once a day and found is to be very helpful…For travel I washed out a tiny serum sample dropper bottle I have and decant a little bit into there.Original review:I could not be happier with this oil! Okay, I guess the packaging could be more travel friendly. But, the oil is fantastic!It is not too heavy for my fine, straight hair. I believe my hair is low porosity as oils just weigh my hair down and make it super greasy. A lot of the silicone-containing “oils” just sat on top and made my hair either “soft” or shinny but did nothing for my dry ends. Plus, the majority of those are scented and give me a headache. Same for the squalane hair treatment I tried.This makes my ends look *amazing* i.e. healthy! The tiniest amount goes a long way (it is still possible to overdo it) but it has been a game changer. I apply to damp (but not wet) hair. I can even smooth my palms over my lengths after treating my ends and not weigh my hair down. I could probably apply on dry hair too but, frankly, by the time I feel like hair hair can do with it, my hair can do with a washing, too! We’ll see about during winter when it is (even) drier — I do live in a low-humidity state!Also big— it is unscented! Nothing to give me a headache yaaaay!I also enjoyed the many suggested uses in the insert.This will last me a long time and I 100% plan on repurchasing! This oil did not moisturize my face or scalp as I had hoped. No scent but no benefit to skin that I saw. My face was dry in an hour and my scalp itched quickly after use too. Disappointed.
