My favorite paper
I love this paper so much. It's a great alternative to Arches - comparable quality and texture, but more economical. It's a very heavyweight, sturdy paper. I've purchased it in many different sizes, and they've all been great. One word of caution: it's harder to get this paper off the block than any other block I've used, so be sure to remove it slowly and gently, or you may end up ripping the paper (I've ruined more than one painting trying to remove it too quickly). All in all, I highly recommend this paper to watercolor artists!

Love it!
So far I've I tested watercolor, colored pencil, and a little bit of gouache on this paper. It's wonderful for watercolor and gouache (and I'm sure for acrylics as well). Watercolor is semi-permanent on this paper which I like but others may not. It's not my favorite for colored pencil (I prefer an even smoother surface) but I realize this isn't made for pencil. There was minimal warping which went away on its own and it stood up to a lot of water and scrubbing.

This is a block, not a pad. Good thing!
At first, I was not happy, as the paper says it is 4.9 " x 7". Standard US size would be 5x7, so without matting, this paper will not fill well in a frame.But...I opened it and discovered that it's a block! It also came with a pretty leaf tool to help you remove page by page. The unfortunate design is having about an inch on one side without glue. This is a problem if you use a lot of water, as you will get vertical warping. Thankfully, this is hot press paper to make cards, so I won't be using a lot of water.I tried the paper, and it works well. I have actually heard of this Baohong brand before, and my first time trying the brand.I was pleased with my first result. I used the back side of the cover page that protects the block.

Good paper but thought it was supposed to come with a tool
Great quality paper but a little tricky to separate from the pad. I will buy again.

Very comparable to Arches
This is wonderful paper! I use the cold pressed and it’s very comparable to Arches! I love Arches paper but this is my go to because it’s very similar but a little less expensive.

Favorite watercolor paper.
Holds water well and dries slowly which is super helpful. Very good quality for paper considered student grade.

Great Paper for Watercolor
I always love trying out new papers and I love the texture and feel of this paper. I also love that it is in a block. This prevents the paper from curling when you add a lot of water. I did find the paper not as absorbant as others and it takes a bit for the pigment to soak in. But that is easy to account for when painting. I liked the paper so much I just ordered the 9x13 hot press watercolor paper.

Excellent quality
I loved this paper, excellent quality but it was quite thick to separate so you need to be gentle and careful to separate properly. Good quality for money though I would buy again

Casi tan bueno como el Arches, a mitad de precio
Excelente para acuarela. Retiene la humedad, no se abomba, se puede retirar el color hasta un 90%, a muy buen precio.Llega rápido y bien.

Meeden watercolour pad
I've seen this advertised as Baohong watercolour paper although the one I purchased has Academy Watercolour Pad on the front and was sold by Meeden so I decided to give it a go as it said it 100% cotton watercolour paper. Now for all you watercolour artists, you know that paper is important. I have tried loads of different watercolour paper but 100% cotton I find is the best. The difference it makes to painting with it to the finished piece is noticeable, for me anyway. I didnt look at the size before purchasing and an A5 pad turned up, not that im complaining. I can tell you that I am impressed. Not only does it perform wonderfully but it is a block (glued down on four sides with a little gap to run a blunt knife around to remove it). I have tried Arches, Saunders Waterford and more recently, Derwent inktense watercolour paper, all 100% cotton, and whilst these ones are very good quality, they are a little on the expensive side, plus they weren't blocks (which you can buy but are lots of money!) I haven't been doing watercolour for long but listening to other artists, they do advise to buy the best paper that you can afford as it makes a world of difference. This pad has so much to give, holds water well, stands up to several layers, is relatively inexpensive compared to other cotton paper and is just a little gem of a find

Ett bra akvarellpapper
Fungerar utmärkt, helt enkelt ett mycket bra akvarellpapper för priset.
