Fit perfectly, no leaking whatsoever. Highly satisfied.

I upgraded to a 1/2 HP pump with sand filter, and swapped the pump base with the black rubber disk that comes with the pool. It worked pretty well (only a slight leak) until I hooked up the hose to vacuum the pool. As soon as I attached the hose, the pump started sucking air through the rubber base plate in the skimmer housing. I replaced that with this solid plastic plate, and have no more leaks at all. I used the supplied teflon tape (perfect width for the threads on the housing) even though it shouldn't need it as it seals with a rubber gasket, I wasn't taking any chances.As a side note, the black rubber disk that comes with the skimmer/pump unit fits perfectly into the skimmer opening to block the water from the pool so you can open the bottom or whatever other connections you want to without draining a bunch of water out of the pool, as long as you block the water inlet too.

seen alot of complaints of leaking but i put in on with the plumbers tape and took liquid nails silicone glue and sealed both the interior and exterior all around and you can put it on the threads before you screw the lid on once it drys you will never leak

The cover didn't fit well it required several turns of tape to stop leaks.

Replaced existing cartridge filter pump.I put a plastic child’s plate over the skimmer basket inlet inside the pool, after I started to slowly unscrew the nut holding the pump the water leaking created enough pressure so the plate stayed in place .I screwed the old pump off, went ahead and put 11/2 wrap of the Teflon tape on the basket threads(altho I don’t know that it was needed because of the rubber gasket inside)Screwed the new base on and removed the plate inside the pool blocking the water flow.The water refilled the basket . And no leaks.I had ran the sand filter pump for several weeks with the the original pump still installed but was worried about it maybe restricting the flow.I think the flow may have improved a bit but not sure.The replacement cap works great

I was able to convert my summer waves to use a sand pump. I recommend this one.

This adapter was the right size for our skimmer filter but it leaked severely. The included Teflon tape wasn't enough to fix the leak. The locking ring that came with the pump to secure the filter in the skimmer housing was much heavier and substantial plastic. We ended up finding a blocking plate we could use with this factory ring to get a much better seal.Edit: We ended up getting this plate to work with a different Teflon tape (the blue monster tape). Gets the job done.

This was the part I needed. Was frustrated i couldn't get in Canada. If i could of had it send to my US address, 19.99 free shipping. Thru amazon.ca it cost me almost 70 buck. Ridiculous.
