Great beginners drone
I always wanted to learn how to fly a drone, unfortunately i had friends with very bad experiences trying to fly the first one and lost few expensive drones.I was reluctant as the low budget ones where not very good for beginners and it's too much of risk to go for expensive drones. At last decided to get this as this looked very good value for money and all the reviews by beginners on this were great.Glad I choose this as I was pleasantly surprised on how simple to learn to control a drone with this one. It is very light so easy to carry with you in case you. Instruction were very clear and got it assembled in 15 mins. First flight was nervous and it was a bit of learning curve but following the instruction i used to it soon. Tip if you are starting with a drone: use highest speed settings as it'll give you more control than low speed. You also can tie a piece of string if you so it won't go out of reach if you loose control when trying for the first time.Love how easy to get the App to work and get the video working easily. First flight was a very enjoyable experience and very excited to fly again, fingers crossed as I need to wait for a good weather with no wind to fly it again. If you are looking for a starting drone, this is a great one. And Would be great as s gift as well.

Very good first drone, easy to follow instructions
Every since I bought my grandson a drone for his birthday my partner has wanted one, as he is a novice I didn't want to spend too much; I have heard about them disappearing on their first flight! This drone however is very good quality for the price and even responds to voice commands.Reading the manual before using is advised but even then we have had a few crash landings in trees to begin with. The remote control needs careful handling, the buttons operate the lift off and landing, the gear handles guides the drone around.Operated by two rechargeable batteries which took maybe an hour to charge, not bad really. Switch on, the lights come on and it is ready to use. We found switching it onto a high speed at first helped it get air bound and was easier to control. Now the initial stage of flying the drone is done we are looking at the app on the phone to operate the camera, the main reason for the purchase, I understand. The phone can be attached to the remote control so we can get a better idea of where the drone is when out of sight. There is still quite a lot to learn and taking it in stages seems the best way to approach this. The drone is lightweight but despite a few crash landings is still very much in one piece thankfully, so built to withstand this. The motor and camera are encased in the centre unit which doesn't tend to come into contact with the ground or obstacles due to the landing gear and blades. My partner loves his present and has spent time outdoor playing with it; good purchase, recommended.

Flying like a pro after a bit of practice!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. What a drone!!!!!I purchased 2 drones one that was a lot cheaper for my son .. and this bad boy for me ... And it's absolutely awesome!!!Simple to set up and I was flying within 5 minutes .. took a bit of practice to get flying in a more controlled manner ... But got to grips with it quickly. It's a decent size so you can still see it if you fly a bit further away ... But I like to keep mine pretty close!Fantastic fun for us adult kids 🤣

Great fun & reasonably easy to fly
I switched to this drone from a Simrex X900 (which is slightly cheaper). The most important difference is that this one comes with two batteries which really is the bare minimum. More are available, whereas you can't buy them X900 batteries in the UK at the moment. They are broadly similar in terms of capability and ease of use. The Snaptain has a great clip on the remote for putting your smartphone in and watching from the drone camera which the X900 lacks. It also has more features for flying it from the phone. I haven't really experimented with that yet.It doesn't fold down so it's not as portable, and it doesn't have an 'emergency stop' button on the remote which I miss (it does have this on the phone interface) and the motors don't stop when you've landed unless you get the stick absolutely exactly in the middle. But overall I'm happy with it and the X900 is being returned.

Excellent drone, with great functions
I purchased this drone for my 11 years old daughter for Xmas.We tried it, and the drone is very easy to fly, and very stable. The auto-land function is great. It is very simple to handle, though has some advance functions you would expect to have only on more expensive drones. The only reason I only gave a a 4 stars is because of the camera: It is advertised as 1080p, but in reality it is barely 720p, if not lower. The image is very pixelated.Apart from the camera quality, it is a great product, and I can definitely recommend it. It is suitable for beginner, and more seasoned flyers.

Good drone hindered by range issues. Overall good buy!
Super cool! This is a awesome toy drone that is reasonably stable in the air. The FPV phone feed is easy to connect up (you connect to an open WiFi network the drone emits, then open up the app). The app is great for showing you live video with a surprisingly low latency. There is a battery indicator and you can use the screen to capture pictures directly onto your phone (albeit at lower res). This thing is extremely flexible. It feels a little flimsy but the durability has imprssed me. For context, I have crashed this drone from close to building height onto a grassy floor with just a few scratches to the surface. A quick trim adjustment and I was back in the air in seconds. The controls are the same as any other drones default settings (including the DJI controls scheme). This makes it a great tool for learning to fly using vision only. Thankfully there are different coloured lights on the front and back - so it's possible to orientate your self visually. The biggest drawback in my opinion is range. Sadly the RTH function is poor (the drone has no GPS) and is easy to have a fly away. I suggest you fly in big open areas to minimise this!Overall a solid toy drone and a great tool to learn to fly your DJI drone visually
