This pattern is easy to make and easy to wear. I made it from a rayon remnant to check the fit. Drape was lovely and the lower band sits right above my hips and is flattering

Easy pattern, greay results
Very nice pattern, deceptively simple and it really lets the fabric shine. I have one been sewing for 6 months and was able to follow the directions given and make this. The facing were easy to figure out. I was nervous about the 1 cm seam allowance, but i used my quilting foot and moved my needle to the left and it wasn't an issue. I added a visible french seam to the front and back, stitch in the sitch to hold the facings in place. I am 5'1" and would shortened this top about 1/2" the next time I make it.

Very cute top
I made this top out of two colors of linen. It came out really cute. Well the directions say easy, one really has to have experience with sewing because the directions are minimal. For example, it doesn’t tell you to finish the seam allowances in anyway. It basically says so it together. Not sure why one reviewer had such problems with the facing. One has to be sure to cut the piece is very exactly and it goes together like puzzle pieces.

Construction
Read directions. Seam allowances are less than standard 5/8 inch.

followed the directions and it came out terrible...the facing was a nightmare.

Ethel Designer Top
I made this top and I was glad that I am an experienced sewer. First of all the pattern runs a little big. Patterns in the US show you how to lay out the pieces on the fabric. This doesn't show that and the yardage amounts are not given in yards the way we are used to. A different Style Arc pattern says .82 of a yard. The seam allowances are 1/4 or 3/8 and you have to look at the pattern pieces as you sew to know which seam allowance to use. The pattern pieces are printed on paper that is like computer printer paper, so if you needed to place the pattern upside down, you won't be able to see cutting lines & markings. The instructions are very brief and not always helpful. All that being said, the top turned out nice and I'm happy with it.

I like this blouse
Oh, I like this blouse. Very quick and easy. I also cut this one a size too big. Next one will be smaller and a better fit. I would argue that the bottom band does not need interfacing.
