High quality, very reliable, easy to setup, high performance, good looking.
This is really well built. Cisco has been done a great job for SMB here. The item is very small and is plastic made, very high quality plastic. The installation is very easy: unpack, connect to your network via power adapter/ethernet or ethernet only if you have a PoE switch. Is configured to use initially dhcp, so just install Cisco FindIT in your computer, launch Internet Explorer and use the toolbar to find your Access Point. Is very weird this devices don't appears in my motorola router dhcp list, but FindIT can locate it very fast!.Once located, check the IP address by moving the mouse to the AP. Open a 2nd windows in your browser and write http://ipaddress where ipaddress is the IP you review in Cisco Findit (cisco findit is free in cisco website, please google it) - perhaps is included in the provided cd, but I don't used it.Once you open the web interface on this device, use cisco as username and password and follow instructions for the wizard. very easy! one of the best I see in my 20+ years of expertise in network support. You will need to change the wap password, provide an ssid, password, encryption (i selected WPA because WPA2 is not available in one wifi device in my network). Once the wizard is done and you press the finish button, the Wifi led on the device is turned on and you can work with it.I know performance is very good because when wifi devices connect to this AP, dhcp works very quick! new devices register with my dhcp now in a fraction of a second!. using the wifi connection I have now very good performance in the network. The device arrives with the cd, manual, network cable and base for wall or ceiling mount.

Works well for what I need it to do.
I installed this to replace some older wireless equipment at my church. Previously I had been using two WRT54G routers with NAT off behind an internet connected wired-only router. It was a cheap (read: free older gear) and easy way to segregate our office network wireless access while providing wireless internet access to church members. There was an ACL in place to deny access to the office net by the internet only network. So I installed this to replace the two older routers which were getting a little twitchy. Over all I've been pleased with my purchase.1. CoverageThe coverage is just as good as the WRT54Gs with high-gain antennas. We have a small building (seats a little over 100 in the main auditorium) but this single unit covers all but a small area that is shielded by some of the architecture anyway.2. VLANsWe have a Cisco small business VPN router on the internet connection acting as our core router. I was able to set up a VLAN for the office devices and a separate VLAN for internet-only access and deny access between the two. It is a relatively simple setup even if you haven't had much experience with VLANs. Just assign a number to the VLAN on devices that are VLAN capable and make sure you have the correct subnets associated.3. SetupSet up was pretty straightforward. Web-based forms similar to other Cisco small business stuff.Over all I'm happy with this unit. Right now I have it plugged in using the AC adapter but soon I'll be moving it to a more central location in the building and trying out the PoE.

Don't use for N but good for G speeds.
I know these are listed as N and can be set up as N but they are so slow at N that they are not usable at that speed. We only use wireless for guests and web access and tablets so we don't have heavy traffic on these. They look nice mounted on the ceiling and power over Ethernet so they do what I need.If you want only G speeds these will work just fine. If you need N then keep looking.

Not A Wireless N Access Point
I have two WAP121 upgraded to the latest FW 1.0,2,3. I am using a Cisco RV4000 Gateway/Router with Comcast internet service. This has worked great for the last 5 years. That is until I decided to upgrade to 802.11 N with Cisco WAP121. Using WAP121 I get an internet download speed around 0,2 - 0.2 Mbit/s and upload speed around 6 Mbit/s. If I connect directly with Ethernet I get 25 Mbit/s down and 6 Mbit/s up. If I download my files from my local server using WAP121 I get 50 - 60 Mbit/s download speed without any problem. After browsing internet I found a solution I found the advice to turn off 802.11 N. With that I get 15 Mbit/S down and 6 Mbit/s up. My setup works fine with my old b/g AP's. It works fine 5Ghz 802.11N AP's. So why is WAP121 not working?Other than this WAP121 works great. The Single Point Setup - Multiple SSID's that can have different VLAN's and different security etc. It is all very useful if you don't need a 802.11N AP that is.I can't help but feeling disappointed that Cisco is releasing a product where the main feature simply don't work. For me the conclusion is that if you are interested in an Wireless - N AP you should look elsewhere until Cisco have fixed this problem.Update April 2014:One and a half year has passed and Cisco has still not solved this problem. If I were the only one experiencing issues I could understand that Cisco would ignore this. But looking at various web-forums, including Cisco's own web support forum, shows that I am not alone. I am very disappointed that Cisco is releasing a product that does not fulfill the basic function it is sold for, in this case a Wireless N access point, and one and a half years later the issues are still not resolved. I have since long moved on, as I needed a working system. I am very happy with the EnGenius EAP600 AP's I bought. I have installed 3 of them and they have worked without any problems - recommended.

It's fine...
I have configured about 12 of these. Most of them work well, the setup interface is slightly cumbersome but other than that it's fine. I couple of them have had problems with suddenly running slowly and they need to be reset.
