Great little item. Slots allow for very wide variety of knive shapes and sizes, and length which makes it versitile.

Great product, very happy with the purchase! Love that I can keep my collection and sharpener in one place that looks great, and allows for my knife set to grow.One item to consider is that this a tall block (which you need) and is obviously designed to hold the knives vertically. Most "traditional" knife blocks are angled to better accommodate "under-the-cabinet" knife storage. If you don't have a ton of room between your counter and cabinet, consider where you will place this or it may be a bit difficult to access a single knife without moving the entire block. As I don't have a ton of knives, I position them at an angle. The block grips them well, while still allowing you to pull one out without moving the entire block.

It’s simple but elegant.Sturdy and Stable: The block is quite sturdy and doesn’t tip over, even when it’s fully loaded with knives.Cons:Limited Capacity for Larger Knives: While it fits most of my everyday knives, it struggles a bit with very large knives or those with wider blades. If you have a lot of large knives, this might not be the best option.No Knife Set Included: The block doesn’t come with knives, which is expected but worth noting if you’re looking for a complete set.Final Thoughts: Overall, the Cookit Universal Knife Block is a solid investment if you're looking for an affordable, versatile, and stylish way to organize your knives. It’s especially great for those who already own a variety of knives and need a flexible storage solution.

There's no way the top comes off to clean it but it holds a lot of knives. I gave it a 3 for faulty advertising.
