My dog loves them and she’s very picky

Product was covered in white mold. Expiration date is not until next year.Requested a replacement, so we'll see. I'll change the review if the next are sans mold and my dogs like them.EDIT:23 June 2022(2 photos added)I was sent a replacement product. They are not moldy and my dogs really like them. Pictures 3 shows new product, Picture 4 shows new product with the old product.Pleased that they made it right, still a little concerned about what appears to be a continuing issue (i am not the only reviewer that has found mold). Sometimes when a food product is made with very little preservatives this can be an issue, especially if they're sitting in a hot warehouse for a long time. Overall Merrick has always had quality products so i will not stop buying from them. Just be careful to read the label and inspect the product before you give it to your fur baby...but that goes with anything!

Gave overall rating of only 3 stars due to the price now much too much. Why ? Great product, our dog loves it, but not paying $20.00 a bag now, which is ridiculous. So instead of continuing to buy, as a good customer, I'll now not. I'll just find a good substitute at the pet store, or another online resource that won't try to rip me off. Disappointed customer who now says "Bye !"

Edit: 5/25/17: Changing my review from 1 star to 4. I got another bag of these and they were nice and soft like the first ones I ordered. The only thing I can guess is that when I got the really dried out bags, they were sold via Amazon and as an "add on" item for a little less. The newest bag was sold directly from the company itself, not at the "add on" price; and the product is nice and soft and pliable like before. So...I would give it 5 starts, but I'm leaving it at 4 for now until a future date where hopefully the product quality remains fresh and consistent.Original post: 4/17I've bought several packages of these before and they were always very soft and pliable out of the package. They would only harden if we forgot to seal them up after taking one out. The last order of 3 bags however was rock hard, as if they were dried out and stale. All 3 bags were this way, and I see other people have been having this same issue. I'm giving them one more shot, ordering another bag today, and if that one is rock hard too, bye bye to this product. :-(Bummer, because my dog loves them and I'm extremely choosy on what I'll let her have. No grain and crap filled treats in my house. If this bag and future ones also arrive soft and fresh, then I'll upgrade my review to 5 stars. Had it not been for my last hard order, I would have reviewed this product at 5 stars.

This is a good treat for my dog

For some reason I thought these would be like actual sliced sausages, but they seem like formed little patties instead. That’s fine just not what I was expecting. They are a lot firmer than I thought as well. Dog loves them but would eat anything duck flavor.

My dog loved the biscuit flavor, have to give her mainly broken up pieces, which is a shame as I like to put them in her ball, when they are broken, they are too small and fall out of the ball. Just disappointed they arrived in that condition, hence the 3 stars. Otherwise, it would have been a 5-star review.

We keep these treats as special treats that they only get when when we say a special recall code word and they respond so well to them. I have had one stop chasing a bear because he knows when I say that word he gets these special treats

Bad product

These treats smell so good and seem fresh lol. I would not buy them again though because they are expensive and not a lot in the bag.

Dog loves these treats. They smell real, almost good enough for me to try!
