I am not a silk snob or expert. I’m sure there are other expensive luxury brands out there that are better for $60 plus a pop each. These cases are well made, have held up well, and didn’t cost a fortune. They are soft as silk should be. (Comparing to my silk scarves I got from France) The description on Amazon says they are 6a mulberry silk, (which is good) charmuese weave (good) 22 Momme, (also good) but it does not say specifically say 100% mulberry silk so there is a good possibility there could be something else mixed in with the silk. If so it would be very little, as I have not noticed it, and I’m comparing it to the Blissy cases everyone raves about. The label inside the case lists it as 6a silk, but does not say 100% mulberry. This is is the second set of cases from this company I have ordered. The first set went on guest bed, and new set is for me. Everyone appears to be very particular with their care. Well guess what? I have washed AND dried these in my washing machine/dryer with cold water and using low heat. They have survived just fine in the year I’ve had them. In fact I think it’s made them even softer. Does this mean I am shortening their life span? Maybe, but at 19.99 each I’m not worried about it. Is my face and hair happier? Yes. Definitely no more bed head or face creases. For this price point I think they are an excellent choice. I don’t expect sheets and pillow cases to last forever, 7 - 9 years is a good life span. I think these will do that just fine.Edit: after washing and sleeping on the 2 cases I ordered, something did not seem right. (I had not slept on the first set I bought for guest room) The fabric seemed off - even if it’s a blend. For the price I expected a blend and not 100% silk - however these slept very hot and not as comfortable as a case that would be mostly silk. The description is very careful to say 23 momme , 6a quality, and mulberry silk. It does not however say 100% mulberry silk, nor does the label inside the case say anything about mulberry silk. It only says “finest grade 6a silk.” The reason I am disappointed is when I did a burn test there was no ash or smell like other silk I have had. It immediately formed one solid melted blob. I take this as proof there is a lot more polyester in them than the description led me to believe. I can’t return them now, so will have to cough up more if I want silk (or at least mostly silk cases.) I should have done my homework. Good Housekeeping rated PROMEED silk cases as a best buy, and although only 19 momme ZimaSilk is rated by several reputable sources as a best budget (inexpensive) buy. I stand by what I said that I think Blissy is over priced compared to other brands that are as good or even superior. Blissy was mentioned mainly for hair. Fishers Finery came up consistently for a very overall quality silk pillow and you can find it starting at $40.

I was concerned that a silk pillowcase was going to wrinkle or stretch (since I was definitely going to wash it in a washing machine) but was pleasantly surprised. I wash this in a mesh bag with my sheets and put it in the dryer as well. It comes out beautiful! No wrinkles and no need to iron. The fabric is soft and cool to the touch. I also like the fact that there is a zipper on the case. Will buy another one!

After having this case for several months, I’m pleasantly surprised at how well made it is.Pros1. It’s held up through washings. All were in a mesh bag in the washing machine. Air dried. Looks brand new.2. No snagging. I’ve tried to be careful, but a few times things caught. No pulled threads, snags or anything to show something caught. Again, looks brand new. Probably due to the high thread count preventing snags.3. Super soft and silky to the touch in all directions.4. The finish has a sheen to it, as silk does. Some of the pictures showed shiny material like satin. The space grey has a silky sheen, as it should for real silk, and does not have a satiny look. I have no idea about the quality of those satiny colors. I deliberately avoided them.5. The hidden zipper is great. Keeping the pillow in place, yet truly hidden. The zipper is recessed enough that it is not even obtrusive to the touch. The zipper tab is small and slender enough to not be in the way.ConsNone so far.

I’m not a silk expert. I have been sleeping on these for 5 nights. No huge noticeable difference in my sleep. I don’t sleep any cooler with these. Maybe my hair is not as crazy when I wake up in the mornings and easier to comb through. They are very soft and silky and since they are “satin weaved” they have a nice satin sheen to them. They don’t wrinkle. People mistake the verbiage of satin sheen for satin material. When in fact satin is fabric of silk, nylon, rayon, or the like having a smooth finish, glossy on the face and dull on the back because satin is actually a type of weave and not the fabric itself. So far my favorite attributes of these pillowcases are the luxurious feel, my hair is less crazy, the hidden zipper and they don’t wrinkle.

This pillowcase has worked wonders for my skin! My face does not breakout as much as it used to ever since I've switched to this pillowcase! This pillowcase is so soft and comfortable. These pillowcases are good quality for the price! I would recommend switching to these to anyone!

Wow! This pillow case is truly a treat to give yourself! It looks inviting and feels silky smooth to my face when I lie down. It honestly feels like it’s better for my skin than a regular pillow case and adds a little luxury to my bedding. This would make a unique gift for a friend or loved one too! My husband absolutely loves his!

I’ve purchased from this company 3 times. Supposedly the same item. The first 2 are great. The last one is definitely a polyester satin, NOT silk. Same label totally different feel and look. Unfortunately will no longer purchase from this company.

The silk is a nice, tight weave with a lovely satin smoothness. My hair texture has improved since I started sleeping on this. Cleans perfectly...I just throw it in the machine with my sheets. Only complaint is the zipper is not sewn in well and I have to be careful when I put it on/take it off.

When it arrived i was a bit disappointed , if didnt look very exiting. How wrong was i ! Its really good quality, very soft and it lovely to sleep on. Would buy again.

These pillow cases are so soft and smooth and they do seem to work, my hair isn't as frizzy in the mornings and no lines on my face from a wrinkled cotton pillow case
