NTSC/Region 0. During the early to mid '70s, Glen Campbell recorded a series of six TV specials broadcast by the BBC and this DVD compiles the best performances from those shows. Backed by his then regular band and the BBC Concert Orchestra, Campbell performs his greatest hits plus other favorite songs of his choosing. The performances are consummately professional, the backing very tight, and the sound recording excellent. All filmed in gloriously gaudy 1970's color schemes! Features a 17 song show from the mid '70s plus two bonus features: Glen with songwriter Jimmy Webb in 1975 performing a medley of their hits together plus two other tracks and Glen live in 1978 performing six tracks including 'Rhinestone Cowboy' and 'Southern Nights'. RPM. 2006.

Glen Campbell - A Totally Phenomenal Talent!
I have to start by saying that in my eyes Glen Campbell is one of the absolute finest performersthat we in his generation have ever seen and heard. His voice, in my estimation, has only gottenbetter with time and his loss to Alzheimer's was unbelievably sad and unfortunate. However, whilehe is not alive to be with us any longer, we are all fortunate that so much of his music and performancewill live on forever...I can't get enough! This disc has some technical flaws and the quality is not whatI had hoped for, but that does not reflect on my ability to enhance my life with Glen Cambell's music.

Good...but not AS good as "Good Times Again"
I like "Glen Campbell: Good Times Again" better than this due to the picture and sound is better. "Good Times Again" has duets with several other of my favorite singers and I especially favor it over this one because it has him doing a duet with Bobbie Gentry. This was very good (although not great) video. I liked Glen best in the early years when he was still clean cut and before the beard and the drugs. Although I liked his late 70s tunes like Sunflower, Southern Nights, I just did'nt care for the last part of the video. Glen finally appears to be back on track (for now) and I think I'm liking him better these days. But I've always liked his music and these 2 DVDs brings back many a fond memory of my youth.

poor video quality
I love Glenn Campbell! I'm sorry to say that the video quality is awful. Think third generation S L P video tape. The audio is OK. It's hard to believe Campbell's estate allows such a rip-off.

Classic Performance
The Best of the Glen Campbell Music Show is a great dvd if you're interested in classic performances of Glen Campbell's biggest hits; Wichita Lineman, Gentle on my Mind, and By the time I get to Phoenix are just a few of the songs included. The dvd is based on performances for British TV. If you like this music you will be thrilled as I was with this collection. It is sure to be a collector's item.

The Best of the Glen Campbell Music Show - 100% Glen Campbell with No Bells & Whistles!
I certainly was looking forward to watching Glen Campbell as he appeared in his weekly TV show but I was not prepared for seeing only Glen Campbell within that context. I had thought they might have included some of the offerings from an array of musical talent as well as some duets he did with other singers and musicians and pepper it with some of the very funny skits that the show was known for. This is great Glen Campbell but is little more than a large collection of clips from the 1972 & 1975 London version of the show! Had I realized that was all it was, I may have thought twice about it and looked for a concert instead! It is good for what it is and I won't pan it, but I would have been better pleased had they thought to include additional highlights from his many fine guest artists and his comedy sketches.

Lots of room from improvement!
This long awaited DVD could and should have been a lot better than it is! I can remember when these BBC shows were broadcast in 1975 and have seen them since then and they were and still are great! Each one was produced as a 1 hour show, but broadcast as a half hour programme with the other half left on the cutting room floor. Why on earth add segments from a fairly recently released DVD (Live From Dublin), which most Glen Campbell fan has anyway, as a 'bonus' on this DVD when there was a mountain of material that could have been used from the original shows? Glen Campbell was at the very height of his career when he recorded these shows and is simply awesome with his fabulous singing, guitar playing and charisma. It has to be said that some of the audio and visuals leave a lot to be desired, but in saying that, I wouldn't part with mine! Still time to make amends RPM!

one for loyal dedicated fans only
I was really looking forward to getting this soon after it came out, as being a longtime fan of both Glen and Jimmy Webb, the TV shows from which this was taken was probably what started it for me back in 1975. There are some good moments, some songs are featured which you may not have seen Glen do live. The performances aside, I already knew were good, but disappointingly, the picture and sound quality are not good on some tracks, and choppy editing ruin any continuity of the original shows. The extra feature of Glen in Dublin has not long been out in its full length form, so I would get this only if you can live with all that.
