No. The sides of the tongue are not connected to the boot and will allow water to enter.

Q: do they fit big or small? or actual size

I wear a 9 1/2, I ordered a 9 1/2 and they fit as 9 1/2's.

Q: How would these do climbing up and down ladders? Doing this with tennis shoes kill my feet and I'm wondering if the soles are stiff enough.
