Stansport Tatami Straw Ground Mat

Just brought this to the beach and really was surprised at how well it worked. Its very light but lays flat and with a little sand on each corner it stayed put. The straw feels like it has a plastic type coating on it which is soft and smooth. The sand from the kids feet sifted through relatively well and by the end of the day it was still a good place to sit or keep the towels and other things out of the sand. It folds up into its own carry pouch and shakes out the sand really quickly. I wasnt expecting to be this much different from a plain blanket but it certainly was. It was also bigger than I expected

I used this as a door mat for our 10 person tent. It worked great for this purpose and was easy to sweep clean. It is a good size and folds up nicely. It forms it's own carrying case when folded up and that part (handles, pocket, velcro) seems pretty cheap and I don't expect it to hold up too well. That's ok, because the mat itself seems well made and sturdy to last a while.

This straw mat is perfect for the beach. It is wide enough and long enough for 2 adults to lay on it without touching the sand. Sand does not stick to the straw so you don't end up with it in your car or house. This mat is also super light weight and folds up into a small tote size. Very nice quality also. I am super pleased with this purchase.

Absolutely garbage! I open the rug and was spreading it out and it’s so paper this it literally ripped on the ends!
