Neat and Powerful
2 days into using the Visio SB4021E-A0 soundbar. Gotta say i'm loving it. I bought this to replace a 5.1 surround sound system that was aging. I knew this wouldn't deliver the rear sound the way a 5.1 system can and knew that going in. I wanted something cleaner that didn't take up as much space or cluttered my living room with wires. People who say they are disappointed by the lack of surround sound with this bar are either delusional or suckers, 2 speakers simply cannot deliver true surround sound. It does have a SRS setting that "simulates" surround sound and it does fill the room with no discernible source, but it is in no way true surround sound. HOWEVER... the quality and fidelity that it does produce is amazing. Being as the subwoofer is wireless, I have it placed near my seating area, so that does help with giving it more of a sense of surround sound, and the ability to really feel the bass. I ran it through it's paces, some tv shows, a few movie scenes (namely Star Wars Episode II, you know the part with where Jango Fett is chasing Obi Wan exploding asteroids (WOW), and some Mass Effect 3... color me blown away. The bass is even and has a good thump to it, no you can't turn it up so much that it makes car alarms go off, but it's very balanced and powerful with no distortion.Setup was a breeze. Plug in the sub power, plug in the bar power, plug the bar into your tv with the provided rca/headphone cable (i'll be upgrading to an optical cable very soon) and your done. The sub is automatically paired to the bar, if it doesn't, there's a simple button on the back of the sub and unit you press to re-pair them. Easy peasy. The system is super simple to use, almost too simple. I wish there were some more fine tuning settings such as sound modes, equalizer and so on. You do have control over smart sound, supposed to keep noises from getting too loud, srs simulated surround, and subwoofer level. The remote is simple enough to use. It does have to be basically aimed directly at the center of the bar, but that's no deal breaker. There are controls on the side of the unit that are easy to use. The led lights that run up the right hand side are pretty cool, they function as volume level, and when you press surround/smart volume buttons they relay if that mode is on or off.You can get this bar for under $100 without the sub, or around $200 with the wireless sub. Once you realize how easy it is to place the wireless sub where you want, not limiting it to being next to your system you'll realize how awesome it is. You can really feel the floor drop out when you have this sitting in just the right spot. That's what this system is all about.I'd like a few more bells and whistles, but the point of getting a soundbar is for simplicity. And this does it perfectly.Very happy with my purchase.PROS: Excellent sound, very loud with ZERO distortion, wireless sub you can play with putting it in just the right spot in the room, easy to use.CONS: For the price there's not much in the way of bells and whistles/customization, lack of EQ.

Sound Bar
We have a 61 in. Samsung TV and the sound has never been what it could be especially when watching DVD's. No matter how high I turned the volume up while watching a DVD the actual sound wouldn't go above a certain #. It was never high enough to hear everything really well. We've been wanting a sound system but didn't want to spend the $$ to get the receiver/speakers/etc. so when I saw the sound bars that didn't require all that I was ready to give one a try. After researching and reading reviews I decided on the Vizio 40 in. 2.0 Theater Sound Bar. Am soooo happy we did. It does have the theater sound. The sound quality is so awesome no matter how high or low the volume and with the SRS on the sound is even better. The hookup was as easy as described. Took less than 5 minutes to get it connected and working. I would strongly recommend this sound bar.

Excellent sound
We use this with our Vizio CoStar streaming box and a Samsung tv, It sound great and functions perfectly with the universal remote functions of the Vizio CoStar. It does have some audio enhancing functions that I wish were a little easier to use but it didn't take us long to figure out that we liked one setting best for movies and another for music, It's really not difficult to figure out but we did have to try out the settings and then remember how to set them, don't let me turn you off, again it's not difficult and you may have another preference of your own. I would recommend this for it's sound, even though it doesn't come with a subwoofer, it puts out rich sound in our 12x16' living room. I would also recommend it for easy set-up and compatibility with our other devices.

Vizio Sound Bar - Pretty Good for the $
I received the Vizio Sound Bar very quick but then had to wait for the Amazon Basics optical cable to hook it up to my LG HDTV. The sound bar sounds much better than the LG TV speakers. The only issue I had is that the Optical (Toslink) input is located to the side of the standard RCA (red/white) inputs so inserting the Amazon Basics optical cable was at an angle, not square to the input port. However, it does seem to be holding & it works fine. I am not sure if this is an issue with where the optical input is located on the sound bar or with the Amazon basics optical cable itself. The sound bar manual is not very good - I had to play with it to figure it out.Overall, I am very satisfied with the sound bar.

4.8 Rating but Love this Product! Sounds Awesome for Great Price!!!
I purchased this sound bar to go with my 40" LCD Vizio TV I purchased 6 months ago.It shipped quickly but must warn that it comes in a HUGE box and the packaging is kind of heavy being that I'm a small women. The product was extremely easy to set up and has a very user friendly manual if needed. I love the light up on the sound bar but wish it had more, I wish the bass had a light up as well, but other than the the design is sleek and modern, looks perfect with my black glass swinging TV mount set up and takes very little space and even comes with brackets to mount sound bar on the wall if needed (if your tv is on a wall mount). It comes with a little remote which is convenient, small, stylish and easy to use.Cons: It came with a small RCA cable that DID NOT WORK , but I had read the reviews and was warned about this , and people said to purchase an OPTICAL cable and that would work best. Amazon even made it convenient by recommending it before I purchased it. It cost me no more than $10-$15 , but I would've liked if VIzio Included this OPTICAL cable to begin with since they know its the best and easiest way for great Audio. (This is the reason for .2 off)Overall:It sounds great! It really boosted up my Tv sound , It makes sports even more exciting, moves more theatre like, and music boom! The bass is amazing for the price and small size, I have a small 800 sq ft condo and it sounds great especially for the price!!!!
