I bought these rounds to use for growing wheat grass for my animals. They were easy to use and to rehydrate. The grass grew well in this medium. No fungus either. (Anyone who has grown wheat or barley grass indoors will know what I am referring to).

This are easy to store and activate by adding water. So far, they have worked well for my small led indoor planters, I am growing herbs for myself and catnip for my cats. All are growing well.

I prefer a product that states it is organic coconut coir not only in the listing but on the packaging.My trusted brand has been back ordered and/or slow delivery lately and I have had a hard time finding a coconut coir disc that lives up to the listing promise.I want a clean organic product for sprouting edibles. The issue (at the time I ordered), and with others, is that it is listed as organic, but when it arrives the package has no statement whatsoever regarding organic.I did keep these because they are a good size. I will go back to the a brand that has more information on the packaging because not only do I want organic for food growing, but this coconut coir seems to both be drying out faster; not absorbing quite as well.This is also a lighter brown color than my favorite brand - I have not investigated if different layers of the coir absorb and hold water better, which also account for the color differences.In the end - I like a no fuss process. And I barelyrate this a 3.5 out of 5 on ease of use for wetting, swelling and getting your seeds going.I was asked by the company to provide my honest review for a small renumeration. One of these discs expands enough to fill these cat grass bags when mixed with a little Miracle Grow potting soil. I toss them when the cat grass turns brown and reuse the bags.To expand the medium I just keep adding water until it seems like a good consistency. I’m pleased and so is the cat.

I will buy these pods again. My seed starter tray has 16 cells. These pods expanded so much I had plenty to fill all of the cells. The coir is light and fluffy, very nice for growing. Burpee tomato seeds are up in three days. Fantastic stuff!

They are great because you don't need alot of room to store them and expands to good amount of dirt

The soil was easy to use and super light weight. They fluffed up almost immediately after they touched water. They come individually packed too which was super convenient and almost mess free because I don’t have to carry a bag of soil into my classroom and scoop it out into each pot. The only problem I had with this is that I had to use 5 of these to fill a decent sized 8inch pot. Besides that, I’d purchase it again
