Q: Can this be used on the bottom of my hand knit slippers?

Yes you can put it on hand knit slippers, I have.

Q: I need this for furniture slipcovers. Does it work to keep them from shifting?

I have used it on the soles of knitted slippers to keep them from slipping on tile floors, and I've used it on throw rugs to keep them from skidding and it works great for both those purposes. However, I have not used it on fabric that is against fabric, but I do believe it would probably work. I suggest you try it on a swatch first before you run the risk of spoiling the slip cover.

Q: Does it leave residue on wood floors

I only used the Performix for rugs on tile in the bathroom, so I cannot say about wood floors. However, it is supposed to be allowed to dry completely after spraying it on rug backs. I would not expect it to leave residue after it is dry. Perhaps you could contact the Mfr. 1 800 969-5432 ( It worked great for me and I have never had to reapply it.)

Q: Can this be used on a mat that will be rolled up and unrolled several times - as in a dance routine?

I used it on mats on my stairs and it works pretty well. I think once it dries, it wouldn't be a problem to roll it up. Of course, I haven't tried that.
