Great pants but not as long as the others
I’ll start by saying that these are great quality pants. There is nothing wrong with them. The only reason I am leaving this review is for my other tall girls who are on the fence about ordering. This specific style is not as long as the other 5.11 pants. I ordered 3 different styles of 5.11 pants in a 16 Long and they fit perfectly except for these which have about a 1.5-2 inch shorter inseam than the other styles. So if you’re needing length I recommend the 5.11 Taclite Pro Pant over these. If you want a little wiggle room order a size up as they are tight. I’m 6’2” with a 37” inseam for reference. Again, great pants just too short for me.

My Usual Size Fits Perfectly - No Shrinkage!
Based on other reviews, I ordered 2 sizes larger. They were falling off of me. I ordered my usual size, and they are a perfect fit. I washed and dried them on medium heat and had no shrinkage. They are very flattering also, my husband tells me.

Great for outdoor work, but order a size up!
I wish I had read the reviews before ordering my normal size, these do run small! Surprisingly the regular length is perfect for my giraffe legs but it’s snug on the *ahem* larger regions of a woman’s body. I can still bend and sit in them, but since the material doesn’t stretch much it’s a bit tight. Hoping they stretch out with more use since I ordered these on sale and now I can’t reorder a larger size at the same price! I had a size 12 long of 5.11 pants that were given to me from working at the state parks which were large on me, but I should’ve only gone down one size. They held up for about 3 years until the crotch gave out, so the durability is really great for working outdoors and in construction. Overall great pants, just order a size up!

Snug, but comfortable fit. A few oddities.
Alright, I have 7 years of law enforcement experience and have been both a toothpick and a heifer. I have tried nearly every style of women’s patrol pant on the market. For a flattering fit, these are great. My true size is closer to a 10, but I ordered a 12. I’m 5’3 and got the regular length as well. They were perfect in length and a little more snug in the waist than my 5.11 Tac Lite Pro in size 12. I did not enter my weight, because I haven’t weighed myself since September and I don’t want to get out of bed, ha! As some other customers have stated, the button snap is on the opposite side, which is more of an irritation than I thought it would be. Also should note: if you’re not a south paw and have your duty weapon on your right side and also store your leather notebook in your right cargo pocket, you’ll have to switch things up. The pocket is positioned higher and further back, so my holster makes getting into that pocket nearly impossible. I tried using my left pocket today, but it felt odd as I’ve been doing it the same way since day one. I’m trying to decide if the flattering fit of these makes the oddities and major inconveniences worth it. If 5.11 fixed these two things, they’d be perfect. Some others I like are Tru-Spec (purely for the stretch in the waistband to accommodate ..ahem…”growth”) and the stretch panels on the knees. I have found that these run a little larger. They’re not flattering, however, and they are quite loud when you walk (swish!). I wear a 12 in these are they are on the looser side.I hope this helped…Stay safe out there!

YOU MUST SIZE WAY UP; PLEASE READ
I am park ranger in Colorado and am required to wear these specific pants.I am a size 4 or 6 in “real life.” I order these in a 10… you read that right… a TEN! I’m 5’5” 140 lbs. my body measurements are: 34-26-40. A size 10 fits perfectly. There’s no “extra” room. It just fits exactly. These pants are ultra low rise, too. They look ridiculously low rise, like something from the movie Coyote Ugly. They are about 2 inches too long for my height, and must be tailored. That being said… they are great for keeping you cool and dry. They are vented at the crotch and will significantly reduce any chances of YI, BV, and UTI. They slightly flex and stretch, but not as much as you might imagine. They are still relatively stiff, and last a very long time while holding a great shape. These would be great for serious wilderness hikes, though they don’t feel lightweight like traditional hiking pants. Best fit out there for pear shaped women in uniform. I cannot fit into other similar uniform brands as most are cut for rectangular shaped bodies (think Kuhl, Mountain Hardware, and most outdoor brands. Nope!)***Vanity woes: Not flattering if you have cellulite. Not flattering if you have a pooch as they are sooo low rise. Cargo pocket placemats on sides make thighs look larger. These were definitely designed for functionality and durability.Five stars for quality only. In my profession that’s all that matters here.

Quality of Pants are Worth Every Penny
I like wearing cargo / utility pants, not only for hiking and outdoor activities, but also for maintenance, construction, and warehouse work.I ordered the 8 Long, because I like a little extra length since I wear steel toe Timberland work boots. As with other reviews, the Long is long. Although perfect for me, at 5’5, I would assume anyone whose shorter or doesn’t wear work boots, may find the length too long in a size 8.I’m currently 142lbs, my normal weight is 132lbs. The pants fit great. The material is thick, another review showed photos of inner seam tear at the crotch. I would say that person must of wore those pants for years, until the wheels fell off. I can’t imagine as thick as the pants are, that they would thin out so fast. The Navy Blue is pretty dark, and could be confused as black in low lighting settings. For me, the color is fine. Lots of useful and practical pockets, great stretch to the material, and the button snap is nice and secure. I tend to buy male utility pants (32x32) and find the fly can lower or the button at the waist isn’t as secure. I don’t have problems with a stomach bulge or anything, but I do a lot of bending, crawling, and lifting - which on isolated occasions has lowered the fly (zipper) with other brands. However, with THIS pair, the zipper is NOT an issue. Thank goodness, lol.

Great pants, fit snug on the legs
If you have a small waist but bigger legs I would recommend sizing up a size, but otherwise great fit!

Taille parfait

They don’t last
I’ve worn these pants for work for many years but this is the first time I’ve ordered online. I found it strange that the length would be so different. In store you have the option between regular and long. The long fit me perfectly. I ordered these in long and had to have half a foot hemmed off. They were ridiculously long. I love how stretchy the pants are but my biggest complaint is that they wear out so fast along the seams. Every pair I’ve ever worn has worn out on the inner thighs within a couple of months. They really need to change that. Add some tougher material and reinforced stitching maybe. Also, they are very low rise so when you sit down, you will likely have exposed lower back/underwear and feel the cold. Anyone who doesn’t possess the elusive “thigh gap” will be replacing these in no time. I got mine in November and they’re already garbage. I’m on the hunt for a new pair of work pants that can stand the test of time…as in longer than 3 months. For the price, it’s super dissapointing. With those couple of improvements, these pants would be great.
