A computer who's case is your heatsink!
This is one of the neatest little computers i ever owned. The computation power of the Odroid U2 takes the Raspberry Pi and Pi 2, eats them for breakfast and tromps on their remains. Now that i got your attention let me explain why.The Odroid U2 uses a 1.7ghz samsung SoC clocked at 1.7ghz per core. thats well over 800mhz more than even the RPI2. Another thing is the ARM SoC is based on a newer ARM family. Think pentium M verses core 2 duo mobile. Both are intel processors but the age of their family changes how efficent they are in processing.Next is ram, the Odroid has a nice whopping 2GB of ddr2 ram on the Soc. thats faster than the ddr ram on the RaspberryPi and there is more of it. More in some cases is better as ram is like your desk, it has everything you are working on at that moment on it. 1GB would be like a 1 square foot of work space while 2GB is like 2 square feet. Speed makes a difference as it allows you to access things in the ram faster.Storage is another perk. Both the RPI and Odroid can boot off MicroSD and though the odroid has been benchmarked as a bit faster, its not fast enough to laud over it. What is better is the fact the Odroid can use Emmc chips. these are very similar to the chips found in your solid state drives, and thus they run at solid state drive speeds. If you want your odroid to be robust i would recomend getting an EMMc module.the down sides is there is only one video output and that's the HDMI micro port. it is not versatile and in my experience doesn't like HDMI to VGA/DVI converters. All in all i am glad i purchased my Odroid U2 and would recomend it and the U3 to anyone looking at a Raspberry Pi.
