Doesn't work for toddlers because the bands can barely close
Making the exact same shoes for a 5 year old and a toddler does not make sense to me because their feet have different proportions. I purchased this for my 15 month old son to wear during vacation. While I liked the material, the softness, the length and the width of the shoe, there is one thing that makes it unwearable. The Velcro bands are so short that they barely closed on my toddler's chubby feet. The bands overlapped and closed by about 1/4th of an inch and always opened up as he started running. I did not have time to buy something else so we just had to use it, but it was a pain. Most of the time I let my son go bare feet because of these shoes. It might work for older kids because as they get older, their feet get skinnier.

Good middle ground between Teva and Keen
This is a pre-summer review based on fit and past brand comparisons.I'm super, super picky about the sandals I get for my kiddo. They have to be closed-toed first off. Second they need to work wet and dry. Third they need to offer a felxible footbed support. Fourth, they need to provide all around foot protection. Fifth, they should keep his feet fairly cool, dry and fit well so blisters won't form.In the past I purely bought Keen Newport H2 sandals. They were often too heavy and stayed wet too long, but provided excellent protection for all summer activities.Last summer we tried Teva Toachi's. These kept his feet super cool, but super exposed. Yes they are closed-toed but otherwise his feet were about as exposed with regular Teva sport sandals and the increase of injury ensued. That said, he liked them.He never had any rubbing or blistering issues with these other shoes. They were not easy for him to put on or take off by himself (either pair). Neither of the other pairs have much growth flexibility. The Teva toe strap is purely decoration. So if you choose either you should wait till you absolutely need sandals in case your kiddo's foot has a sudden growth spurt. What I am liking about these Timberlands (which come in at the low end of the same price point as the other two):-Comparable construction falls between the Keen and Teva. More airy than the Keen while less exposed than the Teva.-Easy on and easy off for my kiddo. Yes he's 5 now, but this design would have been easier for him at 2 as well.-Flexibility for growth of foot. The way the shoe is designed helps to hold the foot in place even if it's not touching the end. Leading off of this, the sole of the shoes is more flexible across its entirety than either of the two other shoes. Keen is the least flexible and Teva has good flexibility just at the ball of the foot.-Though my son's feet aren't wide, these shoes could accommodate a wider foot.My concerns looking forward to everyday summer use are the sweat and contact rubbing with the neoprene lining. I assume these won't be an issue as my son's foot should be a snugger fit.Overall I feel confident about these sandals but realize that choosing one of the other two might make sense depending on your needs.Much more water play: Teva.Much more rocky terrain: Keens (for their thicker, more rigid soles especially)The Timberlands, however, appear to be a good middle ground sandal. Will update this review further in a few months.UPDATE 1: the boys wore these around over the weekend with no complaints once we resolved a small issue. When both boys put the shoes on there was a question about the "tongue". On both shoes (though I thought I was being attentive) I missed a place on the inside top side portion of the shoe that should go over the "tongue" but got trapped under it. This rubbed the feet the wrong way. Be sure when strapping on the shoe that all the edges are where they should be so no unnecessary discomfort or rubbing occurs.

Usual Timberland quality, and fit well
My 20 month old daughter wants to be just like her older sister. When I got my 8 year-old a pair of these Timberland Adventure Seeker sandals, I knew I had to get the little one a pair, as well.I purposely ordered them a half-size large, since she is growing quickly and I want her to have them through the Summer. Other than being a little long (because I ordered them that way) they fit her perfectly. She wears them all day without complaining, which is remarkable because she loves to take her other shoes and sandals off after about 30 minutes. My kids are outside all the time. Clothes and shoes get dirty, muddy and grass stained, but these clean right up and look new with very little effort.Timberland always makes a quality shoe, and these are no different,

Love, love, love these sandals!!!
This is the third pair of these sandals I've bought for my son. He loves them. My son is almost eight years old and has Autism. He will only wear sandals because of his sensory issues. Timberland makes amazing sandals. He can wear them to school because they have a closed toe. He can run, jump, play, etc., and doesn't need to freak out over wearing socks, plus his feet are nice and cool all day long. These sandals are super durable, he grows out of them faster than he can wear them out. I would highly recommend them to everyone who prefers to wear sandals over sneakers. They are awesome!!!

Perfect all summer
My son loves these. They don't pinch and they offer toe coverage. That was important to me because my toddler likes to drag his feet when riding his toys. When it's hot I don't want to make him wear shoes. He wore these all summer without wearing them out. I will get him another pair for next year as he grew out of these. I do wish the upper strap was a tiny bit longer, toddlers' feet can be chunky and these had just enough strap length to keep them secure. That may be a problem for wider feet.

Daughter loves it!
My daughter chose these sandals from about 10 other pairs of sandals on Amazon. She had her heart set on this one and I ordered it 1 1/2 sizes bigger than her normal (other reviews said the sandals were adjustable). But I wouldn't necessarily recommend ordering 1 1/2 sizes bigger though. I think we got lucky with this one! She normally wears 8.5 and I ordered a size 10. I was a bit apprehensive about ordering the sandals that much bigger than her regular size but I am happy to report that the sandals work perfectly! The strap on the back makes it so that her toes fit properly at the front of the sandals and she does not trip over them like she would if there was a lot of room in front of her shoes. The sandals have not given her any blisters and my daughter is super excited to wear them and she is able to adjust the sandals to fit her feet all by herself (daughter is 3 years old, soon to be 4). She says the sandals are comfortable and that they do not hurt her feet. We are super happy with the purchase and expect her to be able to wear this through next year's Spring and hopefully Summer too!

Great sandal, great foot support.
These sandals are of a very good quality. My grandson needs a wide fit (H) and I chose these because the toe section has an adjustable velcro fit. I am very happy with these, I have stated that they are moderately large, but I did expect them to be a half size bigger than he takes at present so maybe they are in fact true to size. They look as though they will wear well and are quite light in weight with a front toe protection which mummy was looking for. We decided to keep them rather than return for the next size down as they are only a little bit too big.

Hard wearing, comfortable and stylish sandal
This is my second purchase of these Timberland sandals for my 12 year old nephew. He got great wear from the previous pair. Hes grown out of them now..although the sandals are still going ! I would suggest you order a size bigger as I did have to reorder. This was effortless and the bigger size arrived within days. I would highly recommend these hard wearing sandals and would purchase without a second thought for when my nephew grows out of this pair too !

Good quality and fit on these sandals
This is the second time I have purchased these and I am still really pleased. these sandals are of a good quality and because the child I bought them for has a very wide foot, the two adjustments are ideal. Will buy again, if possible, when these have been outgrown.
