Seagate Enterprise Capacity 8TB 7200RPM 256MB Cache SATA 6Gb/s 3.5in Enterprise Hard Drive - ST8000NM0105 (Renewed)

I purchased 4 of these for a Raid 10 setup. 1 failed within a day according to my Orico Raid Enclosure rejecting it very loudly. Anyway, the replacement went smoothly and all 4 drives are functioning great a week later. The noise seems typical for 3.5" 7200rpm 256cache hdds. The read speeds of each of these drives is represented in the screenshot--not in Raid10 but individual speeds. Great stuff.

Have always bought Seagate HDs and never have any issues with their products. I bought this just to add some storage to a PC for gaming. Drive is mainly used for storage and not running a OS on it.

Got one of these drives, it was having read failures after a couple of days in my server so I asked for a replacement on it. After a fun adventure where CS didn't understand that I knew what I was talking about and tried to troubleshoot it, I did get a replacement.Unfortunately the replacement was 100% dead on arrival, had to return it and buy another drive from an alternate source. I don't know if it was damaged during shipping or they didn't care to actually check the drive, but the second one was 100% bad blocks on multiple tests - how this one ever got shipped is shocking to me.Would not reccomend and would not purchase again.

Works great . Just plug it in. And use disk management to format the drive and mount it so windows sees it. Oh its fast too :)

I had wanted to upgrade my storage on my machine for a while and this product was a great value, seeing as it's a bit older than SSD's the noise level and speed of it is actually quite remarkable. Would recommend to anyone that needs a decent amount of storage and can't afford a more modern storage device. I've had little to no issues but every now and then it takes a minute to pull up the drives contents in windows file explorer which is just fine as it has no problems storing files.

Hard drive did not boot quick enough for PS4 to recognize it in data bank so rather than return it I tried putting it in my desktop PC, it worked for about 4 months before it started making a rattling noise. The drive lasted long enough for me to trust it and fill it with data. I have now lost all my data 😢

The price was good (I bought it before prices started to spike). The drive is listed as amazon renewed but what came was new, 0 boot and 0 hours. Drive was silent during the testing phase on an open HDD dock. Installed in a NAS and it's running well so far. The 5 yrs warranty is a plus and peace of mind.
