Long but not deep
I really like this bag. I have used it 5-6 days a week for a couple months now. The zipper works great and feels sturdy, and it holds what I need it to, but I can see some people being frustrated with the lack of depth. I love that it opens at the top and it is easy to put my things in and get them out quickly. It doesn't hold its shape when you remove the items and does slump over, but that's not an issue for me.This will fit an extra wide yoga mat easily, but it is not deep, meaning it won't hold a ton of items depth-wise. If I roll my yoga mat around my foam roller I can get it to fit, but then the water bottle holder is squished too tight to hold my bottle. So I don't put the foam roller in it. What I do have in the main compartment:- regular width yoga mat rolled up and tied to conserve space.- a stretching band- a rolling stick- a folded yoga towel stuffed in the end.In one pocket I keep a bunch of little odds and ends, and the other I toss my purse into so I can have everything I need with me.My block definitely wouldn't fit, in any pocket unless I didn't have a mat.

A Yoga Bag, and So Much More
Why did I pick this bag out of all the other colorful and embellished options available? The answer is, precisely because it is not. I am not one for big labels or making flashy statements. I much prefer gear that is understated, designed to be rugged and useful. Small styling cues are fine, but large logos and statement prints are not at all my thing. I want a bag, one that can hold my gear and be portable with a minimum of fuss.I'm also relatively new at this game, so I am not supremely flexible, I need some help here and there. A couple of blocks, a strap, a mat, a couple of towels, a small blanket I can roll up, etc. are all part of what I often use, though sometimes I do yoga with nothing but a carpeted floor. I want a bag that will travel well, carry what I need, have room for a change of clothes, and not stick out like a sore thumb as a way of saying to the world "look at me, I do yoga, aren't I cool?!” Thankfully, the YogaAddict bag puts function over form, and the results are quite impressive. Rugged construction, not too heavy but not at all flimsy, looks and feels solid. My goal is for this to not just be a yoga mat bag, but my all around travel gym I can take with me anywhere. A tall order, but as it turns out, totally doable:workout clothes, towels, yoga block, 8 ft. strap, yoga mat (24" x 72”), Bullworker Steel Bow (because dumbbells are too heavy to pack) and a Bullworker Iso-Gym (because a bench and chinning bar are too big to pack). That's a lot to put into one bag... probably too much, you might say. In fact, there's room to spare, enough for a water bottle as well. One completely self contained and portable gym, ready to go. Fully equipped for yoga, strength training, stretching, bodyweight training, etc. Everything I need in one bag, easy to carry, easy to pack, and the confidence the bag will remain rock solid and durable. The bag itself again is semi-rigid, which makes for a nice durable feel as you walk with it. the load of everything I put in it felt balanced and natural, and the zippers function cleanly, no snags and no binding. The side piping and accents look nice, and add some good reinforcement to the bag, plus help with the overall sturdy feel. The loop handles at both ends are helpful loading onto and off of buses and trains. Fitting it into luggage bins was easy, and removal by the handles was also easy.Design recommendation. Since this would be an awesome travel bag for a take-along gym, I'd suggest using zipper handles with broader holes to more easily pass a small padlock through them for additional security, This would be a good addition to the outer zipper as well as the two pockets. Also, though it's an inner, hidden pocket, it would also be a good design idea to make the inner pocket a double close zipper, so that the same principle could be applied (may be overkill, but it would be a nice touch :) ).The capacity of the bag is wonderful. I was able to put everything I needed for my morning workout, including my suspension straps (which anchor to a door frame) and my steel bow (which is an isometric spring compression device) and could do a full body vigorous workout with everything easily at hand, easily removable, and easily repack-able. The bag can carry a lot but doesn't at all feel like an oversized duffle. It is, however, completely lined and, therefore, completely closed. With packing of gym clothes that could get nice and sweaty, as well as towels, etc. (think Bikram practitioners ;) ), I could see this bag developing a bit too much personality is a fairly short time. Spraying with Febreze would of course help, but perhaps just as helpful would be a "breathing panel", perhaps along the back side. Think a material that is semi-mesh, but durable enough to handle the scuffs and scrapes of loading and unloading. The air can pass through, aid drying, and prevent odor buildup, yet still keep the overall integrity of the bag intact. My suggestions are meant to be exactly that, suggestions for possible improvements, but overall, this bag is aces in the areas that matter the most for me, which is capacity, convenience, durability, portability, and yes, understated elegance. Black and Gray certainly won't appeal to everyone, but it appeals to me. On the whole, an excellent product.

Perfect for all of my yoga gear
I have a Manduka GRP Adapt Yoga Mat 5mm that is 79" long, 2 Manduka cork blocks (4x6x9 each), a strap, a bottle of mat cleaner, small cleaning towel AND an extra towel for myself in this bag, and I could probably squeeze in a change of clothes if I absolutely had to. There is definitely room inside for keys/wallet/phone/etc., so if you don't want to bring a whole purse with you, you don't have to.The blocks each fit into the front pockets- it's a tight fit, but they are fully in there with the zipper closed. My water cup fits easily in the front pocket, and if you have a smaller/skinnier bottle there is also a drawstring to secure it a little bit tighter. The two handles have a Velcro closure to hold them together if you want, and there are also handles on either end of the bag (so you could carry vertically if you needed to for some reason, I have no idea lol). I also see plastic clips on the top of the bag, where you can clip a longer strap to the bag, and I suppose sling it over your back. I'm not sure if a strap was supposed to be included or not- mine did not come with one.

I love this bag. l tried several yoga bags and this is the best . The fabric is not good quality, butEasy to organize and convenient. holds my extra Manduka large yoga mat, nevertheless a lot of room left . blocks each fit into the front pockets but little tight fit. water cup pockets fits only skinny bottle .

Big, practical and great for oversized yoga mats
My mat is extra thick and I wanted a bag that would hold it easily. This does the job with room inside the main body for spare towel or clothing. The two front pockets would hold blocks or other items and all openings have double zips for easy access. The bottle holder is handy too.You can carry it on your shoulder since the handles are pretty long. It's big but holds everything so you don't need an extra bag.If you have a thick mat or need to carry lots of stuff this is a good buy. As a bonus it matches my purple mat perfectly!

Excellent.. perfect in every way
I bought this bag not only for yoga but for the gym. It is exceptional. This is the third bag I purchased since the others don’t fit my yoga mat or my bricks, pillows etc. The design is perfect. I can get more than expected in it. It has two large pockets with zips on the front. The pockets hold ps the bricks and the pillow block, with room for deordrant etc. Even has a water bottle compartment which I can put a sport top voltaic 500ml bottle in, the main body is excellent, I have a extra large yoga mat and it fits perfect with plenty of room around it. I even have a wash bag in there and my change of clothes. It’s beautifully balanced to carry on the shoulder. I would recommend this to all yogis and gym worshippers.
