I had tried hanging these in trees initially but there had been no interest. Moved them to a small, hip height, south facing shelf. Only there for a couple of days and the moment it got sunny, there was a lot of interest from various insects. as you can see several holes have been filled. Not sure why there was so much shredded paper tucked into the units (not packing material) so I just trimmed some away to enable the insects to gain entry. They look pretty sturdy but unsure how long they will last. As different insects like different sized holes I may drill a few more holes into the wood for next year. But it is great to watch the insects moving in and taking up residence!

Extra fastenings at top and bottom of the boxes to allow non swinging fitting to buildings, the single loop is a downside

I was really pleased with the quality of the boxes and they were very good value

Nothing to dislike practical and attractive love it

When receiving this product, I noticed it was not put together properly, gaps left on the roof which would let the rain in, pin tacks showing, in the end I siliconed all the gaps to make sure it was water protective, clear eco friendly silicone before anyone says any thing.
