Whatever RCA Used To Stand For, It Doesn't Anymore
UPDATE: I charge the phone in the morning, and the battery light is in the red by 1pm!!! What a waste of time and money!!This is totally ridiculous. The fact that companies can advertise their products, knowing full well they're misrepresenting themselves, and they do it, knowing they're going to profit one way or the other. That's what they do with this phone. After the third week I started noticing how quickly the battery charged, then died down. I hate all the bells and whistles included, and Google never goes away. It keeps coming on and reminding to do things you don't want to do, and heaven help you if you've made the mistake of signing for YouTube because they'll know and they'll be all over your phone to get you to sign up for something you don't want/need through that phone. Too much time setting up the phone for volume and permissions, and then you spend even more time when you realize that you've doing wrong. I'VE BEEN USING COMPUTERS AND CELLPHONES SINCE THE 90'S - I WORKED AT HP - I'VE NEVER BEEN SO ANGRY ABOUT SOMETHING THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE SO SIMPLE AND HELPFULIt's painful how intrusive it is to be on the other side of new technologies that claim to be for the good, when in reality, it's only serving those whose goods are substandard and pitiful.I'm returning this, and if I can't find a phone that does the unthinkable - make calls, answer calls, maybe leave a message - then I'm going back to the landline and using stamps to write letters, because to be forced to move up to 4 and 5G, just to have all this crammed down your throat is total insanity.

Great Phone For The Price, BUT>>
I love this phone, can't beat the price (HOW CAN THEY OFFER A SMARTPHONE FOR THAT??), and I would have gone higher on the STARS, if not for the included case, wimpy at best compared to the one my Wife has on her Overpriced IPhone, that my Son & Daughter In Law got her on their, "Family Plan." And that already attached Screen protector that comes on it, is no where scratch, scuff, resistant. Just using a proper Micro fiber cloth made for cleaning screens, left rub marks, scratches on it, with the first use. I have spent literally HOURS after searching the stores, and online, for a proper GOOD case, preferably one with a built in tempered glass screen protector, but they just don't make them for this model yet, and I haven't been replied to by, rca.com, asking about this specifically. Sure you can do a search for them on here, but you'll come up with some weird looking product, from China taking two months to get here, and IMO is a Bullpuckey product, not really a proper one for this phone. Maybe with time, we'll be able to get the proper cases & screen protectors, REAL proper fitting, scratch resistant, tempered glass ones :-). In the mean time, I will just have to live with the scuff, scratch marks on the one that came on the phone, at least protecting the real screen underneath it.Addendum 12-13-21, I am happy with this phone and at such a great price, but the one issue that I have asked often about is a fix for the phone turning itself ON after I power it off on occasion, and I have gotten a few responses, but I may have inadvertently come across a fix. In SETTINGS, I came upon one, whose name I can not recall at this moment, being how I already powered it off for the day, and not going back in. This one SETTINGS enabled, places many functions on the screen itself, like a POWER button, without having to push the power button on the side. For the last THREE POWER OFFS, I have hit the ON SCREEN power button first, it being a button that functions using SOFTWARE, not a manual on/off button/switch, and it has not turned itself back on. Coincidence?? Maybe, but I should know in a few more days, because it has done it often enough :-). OK, I had to look it up, turning it back on, it is the "Accessibility Menu," ON.Addendum #2 For 1/18/22- I am still happy with this phone, especially for the price. It suits all my purposes, even with the small amount of RAM, have never not been able to see or go to a site, mostly on our WiFi. The only quirk that still bothers me, is it occasionally, maybe every third or so, POWER OFF, for some unknown weird reason, will POWER ITSELF back up, but upon powering it back down, not a second time, never so far. Great price. I'd do it again. The negative reviewers crack me up, one person saying that when their son took it to AT&T was told that it would not work because it is 3G. Either they were mistaken, or AT&T lied, IT IS 4G. The battery, I only have to charge mine every third day, once went four, but I am not on 24/7 like many, only POWERING it up when out & about and in the evening while watching TV. Another said, only for WiFi, WRONG AGAIN, works either on WiFi or on my carrier, T-Mobile. I wish that I could only figure out why the AUTO ON by itself on occasion. Messaging RCA on their FB page did NOTHING. It is not a SETTING issue.Addendum, ONE YEAR LATER Jul 21st 2022 (Ten Days late, LOL). To ANYONE calling this phone a Piece of Junk, think again. Mine had some minor issues, the main one, turning itself on after powering it totally off, maybe every third POWER OFF, and more than normal slowness (Not my WiFi), but all that went away, especially the POWERING itself back on for no known, explainable reason, after I recently reset it back to FACTORY SETTINGS, beginning over. They must have tweaked the OS is all I can surmise. IMO, YOU CAN NOT BEAT THIS PHONE, especially for its' price, doing all I want or need to do with a Smartphone, my first, TEXT, email, doing Google searches, take PICS (Sharing some, then deleting, since I am not a SAVER of STUFF in a device), etc. etc. For those who still think it is JUNK, go on and get RIPPED OFF paying $1,000 or more for an IPhone, or an Android, that won't do much more than this one :-). My only criticism is that they could have put in MORE RAM, but hey for under $70, GREAT GREAT phone!!!Update: Re scuff marks, I found some real screen protectors here on Amazon, that fit this phone perfectly, "(3 Pack) Supershieldz Designed for Google (Pixel 3) Tempered Glass Screen,", and as far as any neagative reviews, strange quirks that this phone had, there has not been a single issue since doing that FACTORY RESET :-)

Ok purchase.
Phone functions are awesome, just one issue battery last only for day when in uses.

Yep, it's trash - definitely a design feedback
In case you order it hoping to get lucky and receive a non-defective unit: bad news, I'm very sure it's a design flaw as the top review mentions. While the phone stays on while handled gingerly on wifi in the comfort of your own home, putting a SIM card in and actually taking this phone out and about will jostle the battery, causing it to lose contact and your phone to shut off. The flaw seems to be worse when putting a SIM card in - the battery really doesn't make contact with the connectors at that point. Leaving it permanently plugged in to a portable charger weirdly seems to help. But if you're looking for a cheap phone, opt for something else and not this model, it's way too unstable to actually work.Other drawbacks:- The nano SIM slot is badly machined - would not actually accept a nano SIM. Even if I could jam it in, I don't think the SIM card would ever come back out- Runs incredibly slowly. But, hey, I was prepared to live with that for a cheap phone, just note that you do not want this for any normal/serious uses. It can't run say, gmail and another app at the same time, and it's so potato that the Play Store will crash a few times before you can download an app- Case is very hard to open, which is doubly frustrating here given the battery design issue, because you'll be taking the case apart multiple times per day to reset the battery

Very disappointing product
I have worked with this phone for three weeks going back and forth with the customer service people and my cell phone carrier, but we cannot get this phone to ring on all incoming calls, most go directly to voicemail. Additionally, the phone will not give any notification when texts are received, forcing me to constantly keep checking the phone for messages. Lastly, the phone will not connect with Bluetooth to my car system. My older RCA Q1 phone worked perfectly for 3 years until it was dropped and the screen broke. This phone is a huge disappointment.
