Perfectly sized, multitasking cast iron pan
Love it. A size that suits a range of needs, from breakfast's sunny side ups to dinner's crispy skin chicken, this pan is a constant companion now in our kitchen. A handle sleeve helps, and I had one from Amazon Basics. Can also be used in the oven. Two eggs can be easily fried at the same time and mini dosas also come out great. No need to frequently wash if you know how to maintain your cast iron.1. Always heat pan for 7-8 mins before putting in oil or what you are cooking (Leidenfrost effect or when water droplets dance in the skillet as globules before evaporating). This is to ensure it is completely non-stick.2. If you clean it with a sponge and dish soap, then wipe dry completely immediately (easy given it is a small pan), and rub and buff with vegetable oil. Occasionally, heat the pan till it smokes after oiling. Do this for the first few weeks atleast.This pan is so handy and non-stick...glad i found it!

Heavy duty skillet
Very heavy and sturdy,not used till now.GUYS I'm editing this review after using the skillet several times so bear with me a little.I have been using aluminium vessels for ages & after doing some research about bad effects of aluminium(metal leaching) bought this cast iron,now i have made several vegetable dishes & i got to say no more metal taste of aluminium but the taste is quite iron like(better natural taste),cast iron is also used to cure iron deficiency so people who are iron deficient can add this skillet to their kitchen.Now for the care and maintenance of this skillet you will need to season it every time after use for it not to rust and lifelong utility.what is seasoning- after cooking in the skillet you need to clean it with your scotch brite scrubber( green one not the steel vala),after washing it dry the skillet on low flame stove,then add some vegetable oil to the pan and apply it to every part exterior interior,let the skillet be on the stove until smoke starts coming out of the pan,now turn the stove off and clean the excess oil using a tissue paper your seasoning is done,you can repeat this process 2-3 times for even better care.Hope it helps.Thanks.

Rusts and Scratches Easily!
Even after following the instructions to take good care of this pan, it still rusted easily. The black coating also scratched off on one side even though I was using a gentle sponge to wash it. I got scared of using it more because of what might seep into our food so I threw it.

The best esp for cooking eggs
The media could not be loaded. I was searching a frying pas esp to cook the french toast and this one is the best.I did seasoning once and it became perfect. The food doesn't stick at all. It heats up evenly and the handle cover does helps to prevent burning of hands but still becomes hot.It washes well too. Only tip is please do not keep your pan soaked for long hours to retain the nice non stick finish we have got with the seasoning.Earlier I got stainless steel pan and the egg would stick and the most annoying thing the oil would burn off and make the edges of the pan so brown.This pan has resolved all the issues and has made my steel pan redundant.

Sturdy heavy pan but not fully flat in middle
not a bargain purchase, have a slight mount at middle, require lot of oil, otherwise gets sticky. clearing the burnt fried items takes lot of efforts.

Mayer cast iron skillet
I like it. Very good and size also looks short and sweet easy to clean . Value for money.only thing is every time when we use after washing apply little oil so will not rust
