Fi-Shock 350-Feet, 17 Gauge Spool Galvanized Steel Wire, WC-350

Bought 17 gauge. The wire is stiff like I wanted. It can be bent and will stay bent if needed. I bought this to deter birds. I cut approx 6 inch pieces and places them around the house on areas of my awnings that birds land. The spikes prevent them from landing and pooping on cars, steps, tables, etc. The wires are stiff and can be used for other things too.

I bought this wire to make nets for gourds, squash and cucumbers. It's pretty solid.

I mean, nothing against this wire because it is what it is, but it’s SO HARD TO BEND. If you’re an artist and you’re looking for a good wire to use as a base for sculptures, I would suggest a thinner wire. My partner and I both cut ourselves multiple times trying to work with this stuff before we put gloves on. If you’re willing to put the work in, it’ll work, but anything that has too many details in it that you need to build a structure for, I think I would use a thinner wire. That being said, it’s incredibly sturdy and was able to hold this heavy sculpture made of clothespins, so it’ll get the job done!
